Proving that love famewhoring knows no boundaries — not race, not gender, not even sexual orientation — “bisexual” “model”/”singer” Tila Tequila courted himbos and she-beasts alike during the two seasons of drunken, skin-baring, profanity-spewing, camera-baiting debauchery that defined her MTV dating series. Perhaps the only thing right about A Shot at Love was its name: It certainly helped to have a shot (of tequila, vodka, Jagermeister, whatever) to swallow your pride before tuning in. And who didn’t feel like they needed a shot of penicillin at the end of every gratifyingly awful episode? (Bonus International shame: A Shot at Love spawned a spinoff series, That’s Amore, starring soul-crushing Italian stereotype Domenico Nesci.) –Michael Slezak
Temptation Island
Back in 2001 — before our innocence disappeared forever with the sight of a woman named “Somethin” pooping on the floor on Flavor of Love — fans of tawdry, feel-bad entertainment journeyed to Fox’s Temptation Island, where (in season 1) four on-the-brink-of-collapse couples had their hormones and fidelity tested by 26 on-the-prowl singles and a tremendous amount of alcohol. (Temptee Andy described the experience as being akin to the Pepsi Challenge, only with women instead of soft drinks. Refreshing!) We can’t remember whether redheaded Mandy and shaved-headed Billy survived the “journey,” but we sure had shame-inducing fun watching a can’t-turn-away collision of yelling, crying, kissing, and stripping. Temptation Island – one of the original guilty pleasures because no one wanted to admit they watched it.

I chose Temptation Island, because although I did watch both, if they were to come back on the air, I’d probably skip the shot and head straight for the island!

Ok so when Temptation Island started I hated everything it stood for but I am a firm believer in you can’t have a valid opinion until it is an informed one so I watched the first episode..and then the second…and then the third…and then the second season,….you get the picture. That show was pure tawdry, trashy waste of time television crack. God how I miss it! Tila Tequila was just eh at best (not to mention the girl tries EVERYTHING she can to be famous…and notice she is never higher than a Z lister???) At least the people of Temptation Island took their 15 minutes and then went away.
Temptation Island is my pick to win this whole thing, but Paradise Hotel was totally better.

Yes I completely agree, at first you think its a disgrace to Asian women and then you realize its all women around the world. She tries way too hard that its annoying, and not guilty pleasure annoying, but truly unwatchable.
Yeah, I don’t love Temtation Island, but Tila Tequila makes me sad. She is so pathetic.
