Last night’s episode of 90210 should’ve been called “Revelations” because pretty much everyone— except poor, naive Annie — finally saw what had been lurking all along: the truth…pertaining to their individual dramas, of course. You regular recapper, Jennifer, had the night off, so I’ll fill you in:
Revelation No. 1 The crux of the episode focused on the Jen-Liam-Naomi triangle that — hallelujah — finally got resolved. Self-proclaimed genius Ivy concocted a plan that worked perfectly thanks to Naomi’s love for shiny, pretty things and Jen’s big mouth. Ivy and her posse of Liam, Dixon and Teddy hired an actor to play a waiter at the race track where most everyone was watching Jen’s horse win. The waiter brought Naomi a series of gifts that eventually led her to a room, where she just so happened to hear a conversation between Jen and Liam in which big sis revealed all. I know I said I think Ivy and her Jen-busting posse is corny, but I kind of loved all that planning, especially Dixon’s hefty umbrella-opening task. It was all like a madcap 1950s comedy.
The producers spared us more waiting and let Naomi in on the secret finally. She obviously flipped out, but after wiping away her tears and proclaiming to never want to see Jen again, she wanted to apologize to — and obviously get back together with — Liam. Liam was of course sucking face with Ivy at that very moment, but in the end no one was really happy. Naomi wanted Liam; Liam wanted Naomi; and no one wanted Ivy.
Revelation No. 2 Once the cat was out of the bag, it wasn’t just Naomi who saw things differently, but Dixon, too. His relationship with Annie had taken a major tumble when everyone thought she was a cheating tattle-tale, but once Jen fessed up, Dixon had to apologize. But couldn’t he have apologized before, when Liam told him the truth? Did he really need Jen’s verbal confirmation to know for sure? Either way, they broke the ice and reconciled over talk of Dixon’s turntable set. Sound awkward? Yeah, pretty much.
Revelation No. 3 The exposed love triangle was a light-bulb moment for Ryan as well, who finally found out just how much of a lying psycho Jen is. Dixon filled him in, wisely leaving out Liam’s name, and Ryan looked none too happy, which begs the question: Does this mean no more Ryan, Jen, and/or Jen’s faux British accent? Please say yes!
Revelation No. 4 Perpetual bachelor Teddy realized that there’s an exception to his single lifestyle rule, and that exception is Silver. The two bonded once again on the rooftop hitting tennis balls, but this time they kissed. Silver assumed it didn’t mean anything, but if Teddy’s lovelorn looks throughout the episode meant anything — and they obviously did — he’s totally got the relationship jones for Silver.
Revelation No. 5 After being too high to visit Jackie and Silver at the hospital, go to the funeral or see Navid in the hospital, Adrianna finally gave up her happy pills and decided to go clean. It was Navid’s injury that made her see clearly, so you can imagine how distraught she was when Navid flat-out rejected her. I’m surprised she didn’t suppress her sadness with more pills; instead she flushed them down the toilet. Good for her! That flush worked wonders because during her second visit to Navid, he almost took her back. I guess we know where this is headed.
Revelation No. 6 Speaking of Navid, even with a foggy, post-concussion memory, he, too, had a moment of clarity, and his Converse sneakers were to thank. At first he had no recollection of Jasper pushing him down the stairs, but seeing the almighty shoes triggered a memory of Jasper’s combat boots, and instantly, Navid knew who his assailant was.
Annie seemed to be the only one who didn’t have any sort of realization last night. In fact, it seems like she’s losing her sense slowly but surely. Seriously, who, in the real world, wouldn’t be a little skeeved out by Jasper? Clearly his one sudden burst of anger in the hallway will multiply over the next few weeks and if she doesn’t get suspicious then, she’s a lost cause.
So what did you guys think of the episode? Are you happy that so many loose ends were finally tied? And how do you think this Jasper-Navid story will progress?

That was an AMAZING episode last night! WOW! Of course I’m happy the loose ends are tied up! I want everything to get back to normal for Annie, though. She drives me crazy when she’s this way! But hopefully, Naomi reaching out to say she’s sorry (which was fantastic, by the way) will set her on the right track. And once Navid tells everyone Jasper did it (unless he remembered wrong, which would be very interesting) than Annie will be gone of her problematic jumbled up messes! Thank god!
I can understand why Annie trusts Jasper. He’s the only one who was there for her when her “friends” and even her own brother turned their backs based on her. At this point she has no reason to take their word over his. As for Naomi’s apologoy…pfft. I hope Annie tells Naomi to shove it and crawl under a hole with her true wuv Liam.
OMG! I thought I was the only one. Naomi was completely horrible to Annie and all she does is give her a phone call to apologize. Seriously that was it?
Here’s the short reaction: Annie needs to get AWAY from crazy Jasper.
I’m not a fan of Ivy…she looks too much like Jen for me..that way too thin stringy hair type. Next.
And yes, sooooo glad that snake Jen got hers. No sympathy for her at all. I love this show.
If you haven’t noticed, but all the girls on 90210 are freakishly skinny
Way too skinny!!
They are setting it up so Annie has some back-up when Jasper goes nuts on her. Before this episode, nobody would even notice if she went missing- maybe her parents after a few days, but thats it.
All in all- great episode. This show keeps getting better and better.
That’s funny!
Great episode last night!
I loved it everything came full circle now Liam and Naomi need to be back together and the scooby gang / Danny ocean team needs to help annie.
Please don’t refer to them as the Scooby Gang. There are only two Scooby Gangs. The first is the original (obviously) and the second is the gang on Buffy. The “kids” on 90210 don’t even come remotely close to being a Scooby gang!
Agree! And funny how Sarah Michelle Gellar was in both the “Scooby Doo” movie and of course “Buffy.”
90210 Barkada
Although Jasper is “evil” the way he treats Annie and always tells her how talented she is and how special she is makes him a great boyfriend. I like those two together. I also like the corny way the Oceans 4 gang got Jen. The way Liam looked at Naomi was so sad. I can’t wait for those two to hook back up. Ivy is annoying. That chick can’t stand still for a second. She has to move with every word she says. I liked the awkward way Dixon and Annie bonded. I liked that Dixon apologized and wanted to heal his relationship with Annie. I will miss Annie and Jasper though. Didn’t care about Ade. Where was Mel? Silver mother just died.
Oh and Dixon needs to get rid of those super tight clothes. You can see his balls though his pants!
LMAO
And I’m sick of his hats!
I actually like Jasper (the psycho that he is) and would like for him to be rehabbed and keep his edge and not go all cheezy. Don’t like the Ivy character AT ALL and funny about Jen’s faux British accent – I can’t stand it – is that acting or for real?
I guess I’m in the minority, I actually like having Jasper around. I know that he’s a slezzy criminal, but I think the show needs this…to me Annie doesn’t mix well with the group, I like the loner Annie. Last season wasn’t that good because they focus too much on Annie and family, but now that everyone has their own SL, it has became more interesting. I don’t want it to go back to last season, don’t break what isn’t broken.
I do want to see my star couples back together…Naomi and Liam; Ade and Navid..kind liking Silver with Teddy and if Dixon has to be with someone, put him with Ivy (or have her leave for all I care). As long as they keep JASPER!!!! In keeping with true rich kids, they can write around his troubles (put him in rehab or community service) and still make him a part of the cast. Like a stalker for Annie or something; or someone she can’t stay away from. Something, but this show needs a true TRUE bad guy!! Liam isn’t bad, he just fakes to be tough.
That’s true, they’ve pretty much emasculated Liam, who was last season’s “mysterious bad boy.”
I kind of dig Jasper and Annie’s relationship in that it represents a distinct, real type of high school relationship where one or both feel a sense of “otherness,” of being outcast, and then isolate themselves within an intense and euphoric, borderline obsessive and ultimately harmful relationship.
Wow! I love the way that S. described their relationship because it is totally the perfect description of Annie and Jasper’s relationship! kudos to you!
You just described exactly what Twilight is trying to be. I do like Crewpy Jasper & Annie better though.
There was an episode of CSI once where some guy got hit by a cab but it turned out that he was shot before that actually happened and it was the gun that killed him.
I have no idea why but for the past couple of weeks I’ve been thinking that something like that was going to come to light in regards to Annie and the guy she hit-and-ran. I get the feeling that they are going to let her off the hook entirely for that.
Can anyone think of any other theories?
I think Jasper knows she did it and he’s planning some revenge on her. Then they will let her off the hook becuase she will have become the victim.
That’s impossible. Even if Jasper hurt her in some way, if she actually killed the hobo and someone finds about it, she’s gonna be punished for it. There’s no “letting off the hook” for homicide for something that happens afterwards. So I’m pretty sure Annie didn’t kill the homeless.
its TV. Nothing is impossible.
I was thinking the same thing, Ems. I don’t think Annie killed the guy. My crazy theory is that it was jasper who killed him and Annie just ran over his dead body. Either way, I don’t think Annie was responsible for the death because the writers won’t do that to a main character (unless they want to get her off the show).
(unless they want to get her off the show)
***
Ooooooh, that would be nice
I read the info on my DVR for next week’s episode and SPOILER ALERT – Annie confronts Jasper and he counters w/ knowing she caused his uncle’s crash…
I always wondered if Jaser knew that Annie was responsible for the hit-n-run on his uncle. They kinda dropped that line totally.
I like that they let the hit-and-run thing really fade away. That means the payoff will be better, more shocking.
I really like Ivy and Jen. They’re both gorgeous women and interesting characters. I don’t know why some people are so down on them.
Because Ivy is the new girl, who’s getting blamed for L/N’s own mess.
Jen is simple she was a bitch. I loved her too, I mean that’s Naomi’s sister.
Loved last night’s ep! This show keeps getting better. This was the best one by far. Hope it continues on this track.
