I think it is more about keeping his word to his son.

John, Baby, stop the sickening habit! Love you and your music to pieces and want to see you perform live forever! Went crazy for you at CasinoRama….

I bet $50 he won’t quit after the group gets 10 million.

When I saw him the other night on Letterman I almost went into shock, like he said: “I AM TOASTED” I knew his life was close to being a done deal, and he could have saved himself when he had the heart attack and was told to quit smoking. John is a great song writer and singer and will be missed.

I am a little older than him and I am also a twin to him. If you hotbox your cigaretts and put it out and stick it in your pocket and do it again and again it will smell so bag it will make you gag. do not keep cigaretts with you so you have to go looking for one. But keep hot boxing. If you get a pack of cigs again pour water over them as soon as you overcome your weakness. Don’t give up. Do not drink beer because they go hand in hand. Do not be tempted to try one puff if you ever get away from them because one puff will have you hooked. keep those old cigaretts in your pocket and light one now and then when you are still in the trying to qit mode. Make yourself wonder how anyone could ever want to be around you with you stinking so bad. Your Twin {ME} I did it in 1982 and I know better to this day that to take one puff I would be hooked but I don’t live in torture. Then again there is much more to this than just this.
