Boy, people sure do get their panties in a knot over nothing. My grandmother always said “if you can’t say anything positive, don’t say anything at all”. Good advice, I say. Too many people jump on the bandwagon of negativity in this world. If Adam offended you on the AMA’s then so be it – but let’s not fail to remember, he was slated at the very end of the show (late night viewing) and that there is such a thing as the “ON/OFF” switch button. It’s your responsibility to choose what you view not the medias. There is so much more worse activity viewed on daytime soaps and other shows that would make your hair stand on end. So, let’s get real and stop trying to find fault in every action that we deem unnecessary. Cut the guy some slack, he did admit that he got carried away in the rush of the moment – one performance. I don’t recall him killing anyone with the episode. This is just too laughable. It appears to me that some people need to get themselves a life and if they need a “cause” to pursue – they are plenty that have more relevance to the world as a whole. As I see it, Adam Lambert was there to entertain and “entertain” he did. Sure I would have preferred it differently, but I do understand the “caught in the moment” thing. Rock on Adam, you have a wonderful talent to share with us. Remember, Adam, some people may be talking negative about you, but then they’re giving someone else a break! Because those types of people have to always be putting others down regardless….so sad.
This guy sucks! plain and simple. Even when he was on idol, it was always about Adam Lambert. What about the other guy? he butchered Led Zeppelin and Queen. Granted he has an high octive voice range, but Adam Lambert, just like Tim Tembow, is completely over rated. Plain and Simple.
Ah Led Zepp kids encouraged Led Zepp to get Adam to sing WLL and he did. Queen loves Adam. So your comments kinda sucks.
I have waited for two days to weigh in and I have to admit this trail has been pretty entertianing. This is exactly what Adam wants…conversation! Whether you agree, disagree, like or dislike Adam Lambert, he is the reason for the dialog. He has been consistent in his responses to questions throughout his short time in the spotlight and that either takes a great mind or just someone who tells the truth as he sees it. In the long run his music will speak for him. So far, in my opinion it is speaking pretty well.
I absolutely love him! Beautiful man, talent, soul!! He admits he got carried away–so very passionate. Love you Adam and all you do, say, and sing!!! How exciting for your fans!!!
What’s sexist is that men love seeing women kiss but not men. As a woman I don’t care who kisses whom, but I’m kind of grossed out about how much straight men love seeing women kiss each other. Grow up.
Lets see, dry humpin someones face on national TV is talent??? He should be fined some serious money for his actions. I have many gay friends and have been to many social events with them and I have never ever seen such behavior. He is a disgrace to the gay community!
Charlie it was a one time performance on stage with a sexual song. I bet your friends aren’t singers/performers are they? The gay community eats their young because of a one time thing. No surprise. Calm yourself down.
Great interview. How can you not like this guy? He’s personable, honest, funny and well spoken. Plus, he is extremely talented and loved by his fans. To the people who he has offended, just get over it. Last I heard no one went blind after watching his performance on the AMAs and there were a lot of us who actually enjoyed him. Place your disgust and hatred towards the child molesters, gang bangers and drug dealers of the world, not on Adam.
Michael, you always have the best interviews. If “Time for a Miracle” gets nominated for an Oscar do you think ABC will and Adam Shankman let Adam sing it at the Academy of Awards? Love the album.
It’s too funny to see how some “very angry men” wanna prove to everybody that Adam Lambert is “nothing”
) If he is why you drag around and take so much time for this silly disputes about “Adam’s problem”? I don’t love so many singers who annoy me so I’ve never debated with nobody about their voices, faces, talks, songs etc. But you came here with your “bla-bla-bla” regularly. It’s silly. And some more words concerning his wide world “uncertainty”. I’ve never took interest in American Idol before, I spit at all those winners like Clarkson, Underwood and everyone else because nobody knows them outside America. Adam is only one member of this “karaoke contest” who is really NAME. I’m from Eastern Europe. I even don’t mention my country because I’m sure most of those haters has never heard about it because they are not interesting in any thing besides themselves. But here are so many Adam Lambert fans. Unlike many of your American stars.
Hey Slezak,
I think you need to cover One Life to Live. Their “gay love” plot line is great – no stereotypes, no eyeliner and finger nail polish (I’m taking to you Adam Lambert), just regular guys (a cop and a doctor) in love. One Life to Live is doing more for the gay community than any over the top, contrived performance by Adam Lambert.
FYI, I’m going to keep posting this until you actually do an article on OLTL
Mic-stand-ography ROFLMAO You go Adam!
Wow he looks really good, sexy, great hair. When is Adam going to come out with his own clothing line? Michael Slezak great interview – good questions! Thank you for these MTV video interviews. What I love about the interview is that it is so laid back and easy like two old buddies just sitting back catching up. I love that you were respectful of him and non-judging. I was a bit taken back with the CBS female reporter who I felt was attacking him with question after question of children were watching and apologize type finger pointing. I mean I started to feel like I was being attacked watching the interview. I love that Adam did not apologize and I love that Adam is staying true to himself, knows he won the arguement on double standards as well as everyone else and; is learning. Can’t wait to see/hear what he does next. Love the CD. Want to hear it more on the radio.
Your beautiful Adam…Keep being you
Adam, you have learned a valuable lesson in reverence. you have the talent, the voice, the artistry, now grow and get the classiness and humility down and you will surpass them all….all of those who need props…you need nothing except your honesty and respect for others. YOu need people to get used to you and and get to know you; day by day; no more shock; shock with your talent….such talent. We love you and plan on seeing you and listening to you for many more decades. May of the current pop is mediocre at best. Slow, take time to think, breathe, be humble. Be smart. You will work it out. We adore and love you babe. Haters, get a life and remember that you have no skeletons in your closet….lets have a look.
Michael is gay. He should thank his Mom.
