Finally, I can act out my Eric/Sookie scenes with something marginally more than my imagination: True Blood “busts” are in production and should be available over the summer. You can buy Eric, Bill, or Sookie, plus a Merlotte’s sign. The figures cost $69.99 and the sign costs $89.99, which… seems like a lot? Kind of?
If I’m going to pay $70 for a statuette, I want a full-body option so I can dress it in Barbie clothes so I can make Slezak put it in “Doll Bachelor” so it doesn’t disrupt my careful height-order system for desk dolls because I just do, that just makes more sense, jeeze, get off my back already. They’re limited edition and all, though, so there’s that.
Man, I miss True Blood. Would you shell out for this statues, PopWatchers, or are you biding your time in other ways?

Figurines like these always freak me out (and at $70 a pop!)…I think I’ll stick with the calendar

No, it’s not a lot. Busts usually cost this much; that’s the general range of them.
If they were full-body, they’d no longer be called a ‘bust’. They’d just be statues. Common sense.

At least they look somewhat realistic. Most action figure/bust/things look NOTHING like the people they’re trying to recreate.
The faces, especially Bill’s look like photoshopped photos. I wonder how realistic the actual scuplted faces will look.
They should make Eric twice as tall as Bill.
That’s actually cheap for these DC Unlimited figurines. I have the Sandman bookends, and I believe they were about $300 when they came out. Most of these are limited production so they’ll increase in value if there’s demand for them.

I would consider buying the Sookie statue, but it isn’t even being released until July. That is a long time from now. Can’t wait for the Season 2 Blu ray to come out though.
If they were cheaper I’d be all over that Eric bust, but for now none for me.
