Laura Morett came to Survivor: Samoa to kick, scratch, and claw her way to a million dollars, but, unfortunately for her, she picked two fights with the two wrong people: Russell and Shambo. And it came back to bite her. Now, the 39-year-old fitness instructor joins Survivor: Tocantins runner-up Stephen Fishbach and me on the latest episode of Survivor Talk to discuss her ultimate undoing in the game. Should she have been nicer to Shambo? Did she underestimate Russell? (Well, clearly.) And how does she feel about alliance member John wimping out selling her out on the tiebreaker re-vote to avoid possibly going home himself? Answers to these questions and more await in the video below as we talk to yet another person responsible for the most epic tribal collapse in Survivor history! And remember to get all the Survivor scoop and pop culture ramblings delivered right to you by following me on Twitter @EWDaltonRoss. Worth playing for? Survivor Talk video watchers ready…GO!

I am not sure if any of these strategies work out in the end.
JP
Ugh, I was in pain when they made Jeff pimp out the palm pri. I felt bad for him.
What is wrong with product placement? Especially on Survivor? The Price is Right does it. Besides, I still remember the Dorritos, Mt. Dew and Ford products of the second and third seasons. LOL
So glad to see the compassion-challenged Laura FINALLY go home.
RE: product placement….Remeber way back to episode one when Richard Hatch won the Pontiac Aztek ? The ugliest car ever made. I kept thinking how humiliated he would be driving that thing around. In less than a year after introducing that car….Pontiac sold less than 6,000 of them and stopped making it. Too funny.
I don’t mind the product placements. I make a mental note NEVER to buy anything that has been in a “placement” deal. It’s shabby. I feel sorry for The Probst having to shill this crap.
Gary, between 2001 and 2005 Pontiac sold over 100,000 Azteks. Over 27,000 were sold in the first year alone. I agree it is one fugly car.
Would she really vote for Russell if he was one of the final two? From what I’ve seen of her in the game I doubt it, most jury members hold grudges against agressive players.
OK, next time (or some future time), I will guess the skit right. I did enjoy this one, and loved how Stephen was leaving at the end.
Laura provided some nice spoilers for us. I can’t wait for the finale!
laura’s comments make it pretty clear to me, that, if somehow, Russell makes the final, he sure as hell ain’t winning…a final speech “steals” the million dollars she says….sounds like someone else to me….please let it be natalie
I am not so sure about that. It seems pretty obvious that she has no desire to vote for Russell but say the final 3 came down to Russell, Shambo, and Jaison. Do you really think that group is going to choose Shambo or Jaison over Russell? Russell obviously has a hard road ahead of him, but the final vote often comes down to who else is there as much as the most deserving. The only way for Russell to win is to bring the exact right people along but it isn’t impossible.
There’s no way Jaison is going to make it to the end. Mark my words. The guy is a loser. He can win anything if his life depended on it. If there was a whining award–then he’ll win it. Mick has a far better shot being in the finals than useless Jaison.
the petty people make sure no one deserving a win does.
she dislikes the little twerp and wont ever vote for him. Doesnt matter how well he plays, is that fair?
The social skill doesnt mattter. she is determined in not liking him.
The most aggressive manipulative player isn’t necessarily the best player. The social game is very important. Russell is playing a scorched earth game. Natalie is playing a much better game. You’re supposed to vote people off w/o alienating them…much like J.T. and Stephen. Charming is better than creepy. And making threats.
Next episode December 3. Thanksgiving is a clips show.
NOOO!!! The dreaded clip show?!?
I hate them as well, but if they were going to do it, Thanksgiving is easily the best day. Most people aren’t thinking of Suvivor that day.
I agree with her Russell’s a creep. If he wins he will do some evil things with that money.
Gary, agreed, the Pontiac Aztek was hideous, but it was not Richard Hatch who had the extreme pleasure of winning it; it was, I believe Colby Donaldson of Survivor: Australia.
Back to the current season: I’m actually happy with these “blindsides” at tribal council. Russell is a miserable human being, but he’s a burr in the Galu saddle, and that’s so much fun to watch!
Actually the Aztak was the final reward car for the first two seasons, and in addition, the winners of the first two seasons also won an Aztek. So for Australia Colby won the challenge for the car but Tina got one too for winning the game. Richard got one for winning Palua Tiga and whoever won the final reward challenge got the car (can’t remember who it was).
I believe it was Kelly Wrigglesworth that won the car the first season. Don’t forget about the old “curse of the car”. When they were giving away cars, no one that ever won one won Survivor.
Maybe if Laura hadn’t acted so condescending, arrogant and holier-than-thou toward people, she’d have had a chance. Her strategy SUCKED – vote out one of your own because you have numbers and think people are expendable? Duh. Winning two immunities in a row, broadcasting what an individual threat you would eventually be? Duuuuh. Give a fellow tribe mate the “Mean Girl” treatment, forcing into the arms of the other tribe? Duuuuuuuuh. Good riddance.
So according to you, winning two individual challenges is dumb? Yeah, I suppose being a total loser like Shambo and hoping to get the sympathy vote is a better strategy.
no comment about shambos smartness versus lauras, but hey! whos still playing?
I think Laura was one of the strongest women players I’ve seen. She was a physical threat. She played hard. A lot of women just coast. Other than calling Shambo a Gilligan, I don’t see that she was mean to Shambo. Shambo alienated herself from the others and proved to be a lot meaner in her comments to Laura than the other way around. I was a big Shambo fan in the beginning but lost respect for her along the way.
I don’t understand why the hatred for Russell, our lovable little troll. He has been the ONLY one playing this game. You have to give him credit…who ever before thought of seeking out the immunity idols prior to receiving the clues?! What a brilliant little man he is. Out wit; out play; out last. Laura is gone and Russel is still in the game and has another immunity idol to boot. This is the best survivor ever!!
I don’t understand all the hatred for Russell either. I love him. He is playing the game. Isn’t that what Survivior is about…Outlast.Outwit,Outplay. That is just what he is doing.
I thought she was an office manager…
Laura still didn’t get it. She wouldn’t change anything? She’s there because she and her tribe eliminated people from their own team. And turning on Shambo because she’s different? Very christian.
Product placement? Good business.
It looks to me like Shambo turned on Laura instead of Laura turning on Shambo. It wasn’t very Christian for Shambo to call Laura all those names. And yet we heard Shambo praying to God all the time.
