Kristen Stewart on Fallon: 'Jimmy! Move out of the way so we can see Kristen!'

Is Jimmy Fallon a Twi-hard? I think he must be. On Late Night tonight, he got all wide-eyed and fluttery over a still-ailing Kristen Stewart, who was making the last stop on her New Moon publicity tour. (Fallon joked early that there were hundreds of people outside before the show screaming his name—so he would get the hell out of the way because Bella was on the premises.) Jimmy had just seen the movie and was ready to gush about Stewart’s performance, the casting, the effects, the graphics, the music, and Taylor Lautner’s abs. Like Mandi, I find Stewart’s awkwardness endearing (if painful to watch sometimes), but she warmed up to Jimmy’s hyper patter, revealing that she recently met Martha Stewart who only wanted to talk about Robert Pattinson and the dream she’d had about him once. (Is Martha a Twi-hard? I think she must be.) Then Jimmy invited Stewart to throw giant footballs at plates as he held them aloft, to see how many she could break. And wouldn’t you know it: She did pretty darn well for someone in a tiny black dress. Did you watch (video embedded after the jump)? How relieved did she look that a vacation was only minutes away?

Can someone please tell me what the hell just happened to this site that I can’t click on the TV watch and when I try to find it elsewhere and I try to click on the Top chef recap it gives me an ad for EW that I CANNOT CLICK TO CLOSE?

Best Kristen interview yet. Jimmy made her feel so relaxed and he didn’t ask the same mundane, monotonous questions … and did I mention that she threw a few footballs in a skin tight dress.

I think this was one of the best interviews Kristen Stewart has done thus far. She seemed way to ackward and jittery on Conan, but this one was terrific. She was relaxed, funny, and quite endearing! Kudos to her – flying all over the world doing 100 interviews, a premiere, junkets, etc is not easy but she pulled it off with classic ease for a young actress.

Love every interview of her, all her beautiful dresses she worn for all the premieres. She is a great actress and beautiful girl… love it!!!

She was adorable. The dress was gorgeous and I liked her hair and makeup. Definitely one of the better interviews she’s done.

Did it ever occur to anyone that this girl is painfully awkward and dresses like a hooker. Why did she do the tomboy thing of throwing footballs in a tight dress? She is so odd. No wonder all over the net are speculations about her REAL personal life not the hype that Summit tries to push. Rob has a minder now stopping any interview that asks about he and Kristen’s relationship. These two are friends but most sane guys don’t get hooked up with macho girls. Watch her interviews, look at her at Comic Con 2009, look at her appearance at Teen Choice, read between the lines when she is not making snide remarks about Rob she is looking really sad eyed and unhappy. Wooden performance in New Moon just like Twilight too.
