Jackie: Excellent idea. Speaking of–did you see the Glee cast sing the national anthem before Game 3 of the World Series. Top notch. They did themselves proud.
I saw it since I’m a Phillies fan. They were excellent – Thank God the girl who plays Mercedes had the lead instead of “Rachel”.
I did! I’m a Red Sox fan, so I refused to watch the game, but I did watch their performance. They did a great job!
Addendum re the Glee cast: Some of the guys made People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive list (as a group).
Jane Lynch kills on screen because the core writing (everything she doesn’t improvise, that is) works well. The same would have to apply to SNL. Talented hosts have suffered on SNL because the writers couldn’t live up to the challenge.
I enjoy Glee and mostly watch for Jane Lynch–yes, she has good writers, but her improv is a howl as well. Sue’s original schtick “If you think that’s hard, you should try to….” was created by Jane, and the writers kept the bit going.
But Conan’s interview with her was pale and flaccid–much like the host himself. I heard a better one 2 days before with Jane. I wouldn’t spend much time looking at Conan either.
Thats too bad because Conan has hosted one of the funniest SNL’s of all time. But for the first time this year a real actor is going to host JGL.

She’s almost too good for SNL. She’s a glorious improviser. I don’t know if anyone on SNL could keep up with her.
Anyone remember Lovespring International? I still look for episodes on the internet every few months. No luck yet.
