took over the movie business. I have always felt it had a much more
visceral appeal than souless vaporous CGI but I have not been
able to interest anyone in a stop- motion project in the past 14 years.
I only wish that films like Mr. Fox were made in Hollywood where all of us out of work puppet animators never get a break.

I HATED it! I suffered every single minute through it and swore I will NEVER EVER watch another stop-motion movie. I guess Americans are in love with their past and how they grew up on old black-and-white and stop-motion movies.

I am completely baffled by the good reviews of film critics. I guess you have to be an American who majored in film history to appreciate something so juvenile and idiotic.

The only redeeming aspect of the movie was the smart monologues of George Clooney. But the image on the screen didn’t match the voice I was hearing. I had to close my eyes to appreciate the voice because the image was just too disturbing.

I love indie films, but I felt no love for this movie. It was a snore, had no heart, and I never got past, “This is George Clooney, as a fox.” If you are just a major fan of Roald Dahl and/or Wes Anderson, go see it – or better yet, save your money and wait for the DVD.
