While I love EW, they do get a little obsessed with Twilight, Harry Potter, Lost and True Blood. But since, I like all of the above, I choose to be amused rather than offended.

    • You must add…

      30 Rock to that list.

  • KKS

I’m getting so sick over this ‘Twilight’ craze. I’ll admit, I did read the books out of pure curiosity. What was most disappointing, was that the series contained good ideas, but they were poorly written. Bella is such a selfish character, and it seems like I couldn’t finish two pages without having to slug through at least one paragraph of her describing how perfect Edward looked. Superficial much? And half the so-called ‘fans’ of the series, probably aren’t in it for the literary aspect of the story. All most of the fans care about is jumping into bed with Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner. And when ‘Twilight’ won Best Movie at the MTV Movie Awards last year over ‘The Dark Knight,’ I almost had a heart attack. But again, the fans that voted didn’t care about the actual movie half as much as they cared about getting with that werewolf and tool-vampire. Well, the MTV Movie Awards don’t count for anything, so that’s probably why ‘Twilight’ won.

    • Kelsey

Oh God, don’t even mention the MTV Movie Awards. I’m old enough to remember movies like Pulp Fiction, Se7en and even Scream winning Best Movie. How the mighty have fallen.

      • dominic

        Finally, someone who understands.

I know, right, like only violent, dark movies are good. We need bloodshed, sex and some good old fashion ammo to make true works of cinema art. Oh! and throw in some female sex objects for the fanboys. Yes, Yes, Yes – those are the only movies that are worthy of any recognition.

O.K. Twi-haters, those of us that pour money into magazines, etc. are women, not teenagers. The largest website for Twilight is the TwilightMoms.com.

    • Hahahaha

      That’s a defense?
      That’s pitiful.

    • Ewwwww lmao

TwilightMoms.com I don’t even want to type that into the browser…

  • Janna

No one on these message boards has any sense of humor. Always complaining, blah, blah, blah. I’ve been an ew reader for 10 years and have no plans to change.

  • Katie

EW wouldn’t do all the Twilight covers unless they were making money off of them. Obviously, they sell like hotcakes so there are many willing people to buy them—why stop making something that’s selling? Especially when the economy and magaizines in general are struggling financially?

    • RA

Yeah, I’ll bet US News and World Report, Time, The New Yorker would ALL benefit financially from having the Twilight “3-way” on their covers. By your logic, they should. I know EW is an entertainment magazine, but that doesn’t mean they have to sell out this badly.

  • Jacks

Jesus. I know alot of people hate Twilight, but do you have to be so rotten about it? Has it occured to you that most magazines pick what sells, and that if they didn’t do a twilight related piece, a week away from the premiere, not many people would pay for it? Yes, I know. The people who don’t care about Twilight would. But you’re outnumbered, whether you like it or not.

    • anna

nice post … kudos to you!

    • priscilla

Good point! All the people that think Twilight sucks need to get over it. Its not going anywhere anytime soon and its very rude to post antagonizing comments towards the people that actually do like the series. Excuse the hell out of them for *gasp* supporting something they like. Give them a break, seriously.

    • RA

I don’t think people are complaining about Twilight being on the cover. But seriously, it has been like at least 4 covers this year. Surely, there are other interesting things happening.

  • Bailey

i personally love getting EW and i love when they do Twilight and New Moon coverage.

  • farrah23

What is this Twilight Saga I keep hearing about?

  • Chris

I love how people cry about people complaining about their interests.
This is a public website. If you can’t handle criticism, then you shouldn’t bother posting or reading comments.

  • Rebecca

This is ridiculous – why do you have Twilight on the cover *again*. I read EW because it’s not a teen magazine and covers a wide variety of popular entertainment. I was so pleased about Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin on your cover and now you put these kids on *again*. I just renewed my subscription with you guys and now I’m regretting it.
