For Your Entertainment is one of the biggest failures in the history of American Idol. The song sold only 18,000 copies in its first week and failed to chart. Time for Miracles failed, too.
DV, you are a real idiot! Did you know Adam’s album was #1 on Amazon and #1 in itunes for pre-orders? And it’s not even out in the stores yet until 23rd November!! Get your facts right. The only failure here is YOU!

Actually, pre-orders are sales, so they absolutely do mean…excrement. Also, the fact that Adam’s album has more pre-orders than any “Idol” in history also means more than…excrement.
Pre-orders are mostly comprised of AI fans. The actual album falls far shor of being epic. FYE is probably the best single on the album, which doesn’t bode well for Mr. Lambert.

As for Adam fans you all made some good points. Adam really can’t help that the media follows him around further more its the media. They never focus on anything truely relavent like an artists music or talent. They’re looking to sell mags and thats not Adam (or others) fault. About him shoving his sexuality in peoples faces, don’t female artists do that? Britney danced in a bikini with a snake, Lady Gaga is very sexual, Madonna’s Like a Virgin? Come on, why can’t Adam do the same? B/c he’s gay. Talk about bigotry.
Hopefully, when his album tanks, Adam will get a makeover cause that Liza Minelook is starting to look real stupid.
It’s really hard to judge an album by 30 sec. snippets but I honestly say that I didn’t like most of what I heard. Some of the ballads sounds like they might be good but I really don’t like electronica, dance, disco type music so that’s where I lost interest. I don’t care for Britney, Gaga, or Madonna and that’s what I felt like I was hearing. Again… the short clips might have something to do with it but I didn’t like what I heard. If you are into this type of music you might like it. I hope I don’t get attacked because I wasn’t crazy for the album.

I’ll admit, For Your Entertainment had me worried because I wasn’t feeling that song. Too “Britney Spears-ish” for my taste. But now I’m feeling better because those 4 I mentioned sound great. I can’t wait to hear the full versions. I wish he would have picked one of those as the first single!
He didn’t pick any of those songs as a first single, and as a result, most record buyers will think he did a dance album. Adam is not exactly a rocket scientist.

He thinks hes the best thing since, well I’m not sure but there isn’t anything I like about Adam Lambert because I think his entire demeanor is behind the fog, glitter and makeup. He doesn’t represent himself too well but then again he does in Hollywood. You can fu*k anything in Hollywood and it will bring you fame. I have been anticipating Adam’s album for so long. After listening to the previews (longer ones available on youtube) I am so very disappointed. The music isn’t distinctive at all and is way too overproduced/manufactured. Adam on Adam on Adam isn’t necessary and only detracts from the quality of the sound. His voice is so powerful it fills up space without needing to voice on voice on voice. Plus this technique is being way overdone lately with many artists. They’ve put him into the engineering machinery and the end result is barely recognizable as Adam.
I had hoped for better. I feel very let down.
why do people make nasty remarks about Adam?Is it because he is gay? Would people be happier if he lied to us about his sexuality instead and just come out when he has established his position in the industry? would that be better? why could we not just appreciate Adam’s honesty in showing what and who he really is? Is this world so used to lies and hypocrisy that truth does not matter anymore? Adam is not perfect, but at least he is Honest. How many of us could say the same about ourselves? Adam is a rare talent. Let’s give him that . And let’s show him some respect. CHILL guys .
After hearing the songs in their entireties, I completely disagree with your rankings. I LOVE Pick U Up and WWFM and cannot wait to have them on my iPod!!
I am waiting for Adams album to arrive and wish all would drop the gay stuff….doesn’t hurt his personality or his entertaining..Just waiting for AMA’s and sure he will blow the roof off….sure hope so, show them all Adam, you have so far…………
Listening to the entire album online, so far my favorite song is Pick U Up. To each his own.
Can’t stop listening to “Sleepwalker” on myspace. Fantastic song and Slezak’s review was right on the money. When will this be on the radio. By far my favorite cut on the album.
I hope he just concentrates on his singing career for a while. He’s still young and can persue other avenues later. If they do an Elvis movie, he would be a perfect fit – looks and voice. i love adam!. go.
