Only five disco-ball-busting couples remain in season 9 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars: (from left to right) Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson, Mya and Dmitry Chaplin, Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Intensité, Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough, and Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff. Vote for which pair you think most deserves to be in the final 3 at the bottom of this post. Here’s how I’d rank ‘em as of right this second…
1. Donny Osmond Pros: More charming than expected, appeals to older viewers, name “Osmond” has led to final 3 in past. Cons: Insistence on old-guy story line (he’s only 51!) getting tired…as could his joints.
2. Mya Pros: Already dances like a pro — one of Our Pros, even! Cons: No real story arc or major technical progression over the season, hasn’t seemed to connect with audience.
3. Kelly Osbourne Pros: Real-est personality and best sense of humor, effective parents. Cons: Self-awareness not conducive to high-pressure situations involving steps ‘n’ sequins.
4. Joanna Krupa Pros: Judges love Derek, viewers love boobs. Cons: Body has tendency to match consistency of cooked linguine, other females in remaining couples also have boobs.
5. Aaron Carter Pros: Strong work ethic, plus I’m LOL-ing less and less as he’s announced as a “pop star” each week, but maybe that’s because I’m used to it. Cons: Emotional meltdown = imminent.

Derek is the by far the most annoying person on TV. I just cringe at his constant mugging and buffoonery.

I agree 100% he is my least favorite of all the dancers.
He can dance but I can’t stand to watch him.His ego is out of control and it is such a turn of.
I agree – I’m sick of Derek. He plays to the camera every time it’s anywhere near him. I don’t like Joanna much either, although she is a pretty good dancer. Kelly is a hoot. Really like Donny too.
Derek lost my vote when he and Mark sang thier “song” on the show.
Derek never had my votes, and the “singing”…well, I guess they needed minutes to kill. I had to keep the tv in “mute.”
That song and performance by Mark and Derek was pathetic.
I loved it only because it reminded me of some stuff from the early 90s. But, that is not to say that it had any redeeming musical qualities. Yikes.

Oh man…that was funny. Joanna really is the best partner for Derek…she just stands there and lets him show off all his moves. When the girls dance like that to make up for their celebrity’s lack of talent, rythym, etc., they get yelled at…but not the golden boy. Ugh…the truest moment this season was him making out with himself in the mirror.

I know everyone loves Kelly and I do too, but she is by far the weakest of the remaining couples. I have been impressed by Joanna. She has no real fan base and someone must be voting for her, plus she is very good, usually models haven’t done that well in the past.
That’s completely right. I love Kelly, but she is easily the worst and will go home this week if Aaron is scored significantly higher than her. There’s no way she deserves to go farther than Joanna. This article is ridiculous – are we ranking personalities or dancing? If it’s the latter, then it’s Mya, Joanna, and Donny; even Aaron is possible. If it’s the former, then Donny and Kelly would be shoo-ins for the final and Mya wouldn’t be 2nd place either – she’s got the personality of a wet rag.
How many seasons will it take for people to realize that it’s not about who is the best dancer, but about who is the favorite dancer (as Tom says every week). My top 3 would be Donny, Mya and Kelly.
Yes, thank you! I vote for my favorite, no the best dancer of the week, and no, I don’t think it’s wrong. Ok, I admit, Mya is the best dancer. But to be honest, I don’t really care. I can’t stand her, or how she came into this show with way more experience than any of the rest. I like a good underdog story, someone who’s improved every week. And I vote for people who make DWTS interesting, worth watching. Mya’s good every week. It’s boring, she’s boring.
I like Kelly, but I just want her to beat Aaron. But I’m leaving it up to Donny or Joanna to take Mya out.
Of course it’s always been a popularity contest and not just about the dancing. But there’s no legit reason why Joanna should be the one to go for Kelly. So Mya the ringer gets to sail on through because of her talent, but we just don’t like Joanna? Hey, it’s not like she’s so off-putting like Aaron.
is a dance SHOW, a reality show, so yeah the favorite dancer wins, the diff, between this and like SYTYCD would be that the judges score the dancing, and the viewers pick their fav. So it is a who dances better and who is liked by the fans, 50 50
Tonight,17 Nov.,is the night I stopped watching dancing with the stars when overweight and turn-off kelly osbourne won out over joanna krupa.
I think your only con for aaron carter is a pro in terms of overall entertainment.

Heh. True story. I would LOVE to see him cry again, and possibly stomp his feet and flail his arms around. Like a giant 2-year-old.
Oh no, Annie, you were too nice to Aaron Carter. The actual Con(s): most people can’t stand to watch him because a) they resent that he is now and ever was considered a “star” because he didn’t deserve it and rode his brother’s coattails to produce crappy kid pop, and/or b) he has behaved so obnoxiously on and off the show (no one likes a smug d bag undeserving of his celebrity status), especially weeping in Michael Irvin’s arms (Michael has the patience of a saint!) and screeching last week after the judges’ remarks/scores. I know the kid dances better than Joanna/Kelly, but I hope he goes home tomorrow night. I don’t need his overpowering desperation fogging up my TV screen any more, thanks.
I hope Aaron gets voted off tomorrow. He is annoying! Mya? Joanna is my favorite, she has really improved. Donny is awesome and so is Kelly. It’s going to be tough to vote for the winner.
Donny & Kym – he’s been hardworking, listens to and learns from the judge’s critiques and, is consistently entertaining and dances well. Personally, I’m sick of the judges’ perpetual propping of Derek (and Joanna).

The voters suck! Joanna and Aaron clearly want this more than any of the other celebrities and work harder than anyone. Mya looks bored, Kelly doesn’t have the technique, and Donny is too cheesy. Joanna and Aaron FTW!
You have a right to prefer Joanna and Aaron, but to say that they work harder than anyone is just wrong. What about Donny? He is doing a show in Vegas, for crying out loud! Give me a break; the man is giving it his all. Be fair.
I don’t care who “wants it more.” I care about who does a good job and is most entertaining.
We think that Kelly should go next. She is the weakest. Mya has performed the best and Joanna Krupa

3. Gets extra points for takedown of Terrell Owens on SUPERSTARS. She made him look small
4. Dances BEAUTIFULLY.
