'The Onion' heading to Comedy Central: Area online sports news team gets TV show

Good news: The Onion Sports Network online video series will turn into a weekly Comedy Central TV show! I’ll definitely be watching. I already get all of my news from Comedy Central and sports awareness from The Onion, so now I can learn even more without having to shift my body slightly to gaze upon a different screen. My latest aha! moment: There is a basketball team called the Los Angeles Clippers:

No air date yet for the half-hour scripted series, but you can gear up by watching all of the Onion News Network’s sports-related videos here. Will you watch an Onion sports show? Which fringe events do you want to see covered? I’m hoping for a weekly “Steam Room” installment hosted by hopefully-a-blood-relation Mark Barrett and the use of mid-to-late-’90s Jock Jams as a bumpin’ background beat the entire time…

I love these people. Hilarious. I like the non-sports ones too.

Awesome! I can’t wait. (I am also hoping for a Onion Movie sequel.)

    You crack me up!

I’m a little disappointed that it’s only going to be a sports show though, becuase their fake news and technology stories are great too (check out their newest video on Glenn Beck). Even with Stewart and Colbert, there can never be too many fake news shows if they’re done right.
