Remember that La Toya Jackson scene cut from Bruno after Michael Jackson’s death? Well, here it is, from the deleted scenes on the DVD (out Nov. 17). This doesn’t strike me as uproariously funny even before MJ’s death, and now it just seems a bit sad.
What do you think?

It wasn’t sad and it was a little funny. I could see why it was cut because his passing was right b4 the film’s release and it was joking in present tense as if he was still alive.
Um, what’s so sad about it?

What’s sad Samantha is that you find the need to cut and paste this same exact comment into every article even remotely about Mr. Jackson, no matter what the context. We get it, you miss him, most people do. But come up with a new rant or move on.
Agreed!
Agree that it wasn’t uproariously funny, but it was still a bit amusing that he read off MJ’s phone number in German while La Toya had no idea what he was saying. And the fact that she didn’t seem at all uncomfortable about using people as furniture and eating sushi off that guy’s body was funny too (especially because it’s right after Paula Abdul’s scene in which she was extremely uncomfortable).
I did think it was sad. No one doubts that LaToya Jackson lives in la-la land, likely do to a horrific childhood involving some kind of abuse. She acts like she has no grasp on what normal behavior is, yet she does seem uncomfortable. When her ex-husband beat her up, she probably had the same reaction. People wouldn’t normally be afraid to laugh at her. Her brother’s death invoked sympathy for the entire family. Me, I always found her to be very sad. But I don’t blame Sacha Baron Cohen; he’s just trying to be funny. Comedians don’t have an obligation to be responsible. Partially due to circumstance, this particular bit only succeeded at being disturbing.
That is definetly not sad. That scene is just as funny as the whole movie (all those who have seen it now it isnt that funny)
LaToya just needs to go away. Go back where you were before MJ died. Stupid..just stupid
Actually it is kinda funny, and in case you are forgetting Michael Jackson was a worthless child molester.
