I’m not sure that the video to the Backstreet Boys new single ”Bigger” is as entertaining as the parody PopWatch showed you last week, but the second video from the group’s latest album, This Is Us, gives me a wonderfully familiar flutter in my once-teenage soul. Unlike the band’s dance-track first single ”Straight to my Heart,” this song and video are a throwback to the BSB who had me shrieking and crying in fangirl joy (Wow, was that a month ago already?). Click the repeat button a few times, and I dare you not to hum the tune on the way home.
Now you go. In the world of TV/movies/books/games/online/music that makes you want to squeal in joy, what’s on your Must List this week? Don’t forget: Tell us why and give us your e-mail address (in case your suggestion gets put in the magazine!). Deadline is Friday, Nov. 6 at noon ET.

Bill Simmons’ The book of basketball
Sainthood, the new album by Tegan and Sara. Adorable, as always, and finally back with a new cd. Clearly, the top choice of everyone’s favourite Canadians.
Yes! I’ve been listening to Sainthood nonstop since it came out.
Katharine Kerr’s The Silver Mage, the final book in her best-selling fantasy series (and my favorite book series of all time).
Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin as Oscar hosts? I’m in!
Nick Carter is still hot!
Danny DeVito on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia- Has there ever been a more inspired “stunt” casting? Probably. Has there ever been a funnier one? Not a chance.
A Matter of the Utmost Importance on popramblings.com- A bunch of knuckleheads debate pop culture questions and issues. Who’s the winner? You!
New Super Mario Bros.- I haven’t been this excited about a 2D game in 15 years. Mario, Luigi, and some Toadstools team up to find the Princess again. I’ve got the feeling she’ll be in another castle.
On board with all of those! About time Wii got some SMB loving.
There’s a SMB game for the Wii?!
You just made my day.
Oh, Sandra, you called it. My once teenage soul fluttered, too. And the video was amazingly not embarrassing, for them or me. That, in itself, was pretty great. I really like the tune too.
The new season of The Venture Brothers on Adult Swim!
Wow, Nick Carter is a tool. What had me giddy? Maybe not giddy… but John Lithgow certainly got me shaking as the Trinity Killer in Dexter. Man, Dick Solomon got scary.
MUST #1 THE YANKEES ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!
Seeing my best friend’s articles posted online.
And Harry Potter.
My Must List for this week definitely includes the Glee soundtrack. Even though I already have all the songs, it’s so worth it for the new tracks (and to have the physical CD in my car for those rare days I forget my iPod).
Uncharted 2 – It’s been a few weeks since it came out but it’s still the most fun, exciting, accessible, beautiful video game I’ve played in ages. What the last Indiana Jones movie should’ve been like (better acting, too!)
“Raditude” by Weezer – There will never be another Blue Album or Pinkerton. If you can accept that, Raditude has got some of the catchiest, most fun music Weezer has produced since those landmark albums. Just crank it on in your car on a Saturday night with your friends, and try to be in a bad mood.
Thanks for sharing Sandra — I second the BSB’s new video. I love them being goofy.
Other than that and a salary cap for major league baseball, I can’t think of anything else thats a must right now.
V on ABC. I love Scott Wolf’s return to television. He’s as cute if not cuter than he was on Party of Five. The premiere was awesome. So much happened in a hour. Great plot. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
ooohhh-yes LOVE Scott Wolf!! Loved him on Party of Five and Everwood (miss Everwood too btw). Welcome back Scott!!
Just in time for the domestic DVD/BluRay release, it’s revealed that Wil Wheaton did (until now) uncredited voice work in the JJ Abrams Star Trek movie.

COMPLETELY awesome!
This week the Foo Foghters greatest hits made me giddy. I
am glad that BSB makes you weak at the knees.
Always has, always will. Ha
Sandra, you just became my new best friend! I heart the Backstreet Boys, always and always will. Things that made me giddy this week:
1. Backstreet Boys!Subtle
2.Sexuality “Male Prima Donna” music video
3.Glee soundtrack
Glee soundtrack and yet another awesome episode of Modern Family.
Sexuality “Male Prima Donna” music video
I have a giggle fest every week when I watch Castle. The book was giggly too!!
David Cook!!! On the second leg of his “Declaration” tour!
Michael Stuhlbarg in A Serious Man – Hopefully this stage veteran will follow in Frank Langella’s footsteps and find himself on the Oscar ballot this awards season.
Welcome to EW, Sandra!
Below, my Must List:
– “How to Train Your Dragon” trailer – DreamWorks’s next animated feature, about a boy who is trained to battle dragons but instead befriends one, looks a lot more promising than 2006’s adaptation of “Eragon.” Plus, it marks Craig Ferguson’s triumphant return to movies! Animation suits him well, don’t you think?
– “I Told You I Was Freaky,” Flight of the Conchords – Okay, so the New Zealand comedy duo’s sophomore effort was never going to be able to match the parodic genius of their debut album, but there are still enough choice tracks included on the new disc to make this a must own for even the casual Bret and Jemaine fan.
– Rico Rodriguez on “Modern Family” – As preternaturally mature Manny, Rodriguez brings the cute – but never cloying – to ABC’s comedy hit.
Definitely the Smithsonian HD Channel’s ‘Skyview’ series – just discovered it… talk about taking a vacation on your couch!
The iPhone game Spider, a combo mystery-puzzle game where you are a spider and spin webs to catch a variety of bugs. Utterly addictive. Catching bugs was never this much fun.
I was watching the Yankees win the World series yesterday. Before the big moment, I saw NY Mayor Bloomberg watching the Yankee game with a US Naval captain. I said to my dad: “there goes the mayor with the captain of The Love Boat!” Dad was laughing hard. Anyway Yeah Yankees!!
I LOVE the Backstreet Boys. If I had a choice, I’d forever keep this band on my mantle of all time favorites, next to stuff crust pizza and Batman action figures. Love, love, love!!!!!!!!!!!
Everytime I hear Phoenix’s song “1901″ on the radio I squeal like a 16 year old girl who just got her drivers license! It has such a great beat! It makes me feel like I’m in a car commercial.
When did Howie become the hottest BSB?
