The latest clip whetting Twilight fans’ appetites for the ever-approaching New Moon takes a behind-the-scenes look at the Volturi’s general badass-ness. Lots of neck-snapping, ruling from thrones, marble-slab-smashing, and even some Matrix-y fight sequences:

I feel like I’ve seen the whole movie PLUS the DVD features. This is overkill.. and this is coming from someone who lived thru last years Twilight hype w/nary a complaint. How hard does Summit really need to push this? It’s a guaranteed box office hit – enough already.
I know! same!! I mean there should be suspense that creates excitement for the movie! I adore the twilgith saga, and the movie hopefully will exceed my expectations!xxx peace, love, twilight!
we may say that, but still none of us can refrain from watching them, we all read the saga and get the jist, and fans would probably complain if there wernt many trailers-either way someone is pissed
You actually don’t have to watch all the clips. They are there for those of us that are interested.
Most of these clips keep using the same footage we’ve seen in the trailers. If the movie is 2 hrs. 10 mins. long, I think we’ve only seen maybe 15 mins. of it. Not to mention, some of the footage in the trailers may not have even made it into the film after editing. There were things in the “Twilight” clips/trailers that weren’t in the final movie.

I think they told Mandi Bierly that if she keeps up a five-article-per-week quota, she can go on a date with Pattinson.
OK, up until this point I’ve shrugged off the “Twilight” overkill on EW, but now it’s officially getting ridiculous.
This movie will still be a fail no matter how many cliche fight scenes they force in.
It would be really really nice to have some actual Twilight fans making comments on here instead of the requisite five to ten people that always have to come on here and rain on everyone’s parade. Maybe that’s the reason that I just don’t care about ew.com anymore. It is ridiculous. I will never understand the haters with their “I have the right to my opinion” BS. Go talk about Harry Potter or something.

Just to clarify, the opinion I gave was related to the question posed by the blog writer.. i.e “How many more clips before we’ve seen the whole flick?”
On the other hand, your comment about Rob’s hotness is a bit off subject. But since you have the right to your opinion then all is well.. or some BS like that.
Heather – I AM a Twilight fan, and I am sick of these clips that show the entire damn movie, and I’m sick of EW acting like the release of each one is a major news story.
This is an ‘Entertainment’ magazine/website, of course there’s gonna be coverage on movies. duuuh. If you don’t want to watch it people, then don’t.

It’s really frustrating that people insist on coming in here and commenting about a topic that they don’t even care about.
If you are sick of the clips, then don’t watch them! And treating these clips like major news would be making them a magazine cover story. I reiterate that PopWatch is a BLOG about what the authors may find interesting, which could be anything. And wether it may be overrated for some, Twilight is the biggest pop culture item right now. It takes less time to ignore an entry, than to read AND comment.
i’m a twilight fan(of the books anyway) and i think the amounts of tv.spots and “exclusive” clips and featurettes and teasers and trailers is ridiculous. people are already cutting and pasting then together. BUT i gotta be honest, nice to see the cast that plays the vlturi, we’ve seen plenty of promos witht he cullens and the wolfpack, nice to see the actors playing the “real” bad guys…
ok, I’m looking forward to this movie, therefore, MORE CLIPS = AWESOME. All these Twilight fans saying they DON’T want clips?! WHAT?! That’s a complete contradiction, haha. The movie is 2 hours long people, I think we have seen at the most, 5 minutes worth, so SHUTEE. P.S. Volturi stuff looks great!
I like watching the new clips, I don’t care how many they put out there on a weekly/monthly/daily base, I’ll keep watching. And I’ll go watch the movie too when it comes out, not coz the cast is hot but coz I like the books, I like to compare them to the movie and I like the whole fuss about the movie. Nobody forces you watch anything, not the trailers, not the movie, no nothing. If you want hit play, if not just move on. It’s entertaining to some (and not just to hormone-overloaded teens), annoying to others, to be bombarded with all these Twilight-focused clips and articles on this site, but what part of Entertainment Weekly don’t you get? You choose to be here and you choose to read this entry. If you don’t like it go read about Jon and Kate or something, you are here by choice. EW will publish what draws readers, what draws clicks and boosts ads revenue. What did you expect?
I have not read the books. I hated the first movie and I no longer need to see the new movie as I think I already have. Does every article need to be about Twilight? Seriously, there was less hype for any Star Wars or Harry Potter movie. This is ridiculous and it simply shows a lack of journalistic integrity, creativity and aggressiveness from Entertainment Weekly. You have one story and day after day you just change the words around on this movie.
I would rather read a recap of a Brady Bunch rerun on Nick at Nite.

Exactly. And EVERY Star Wars and Harry Potter film somehow managed to trounce Twilight’s BO numbers. I’m looking forward to New Moon, but even know I that this idea of Twilight as the biggest/greatest thing since sliced bread is overblown and built on hype.
On top of that, notice how quickly this comment section devolved. If people are sick of EW covering Twilight, it’s their right, as consumers of this site and its content, to voice their opinion. Deal with it.
i do think they are showing too many clips. too many scenes. there’s nothing to look forward too. it’ll end up being a boring 2 hour movie.

Trust me, there are plenty of websites that us fans can go to in order to dissect each clip second-by-second.
I understand ew.com posting an article when a new trailer comes out, but a new article is not needed for every single BTS or piece of promotion.
I love the clips, keep them coming! The movie is so long in coming that any glimpse is good. Thanks EW for keeping the articles and pictures coming as well.

Can somebody tell me why they are bragging about a bunch of stuff that NEVER HAPPENED IN THE BOOK? Also, Edward can hear the thoughts of all the people he is fighting so how is it that he has no chance when he knows (this is from the book people) how, when, and where they will move next? I’ll still go see it but these Volturi scenes look so inaccurate.

I love the twilight saga! I can not wait for this movie, to some of you it might seem like you have seen the whole movie through previews but you willb e surprized that there is alot that you are NOT going to know!! Even if the clips did show the whole movie I would still go watch it a thousand times in the theatre! It’s just to awsome to ignore!!!
I love the series and am so happy to see the clips because they prove, to me atleast, that this film will be much better than Twilight. The countdown has definitely begun for me. I admit that sometimes it does feel like overkill but if I didn’t want to see the clips I just wouldn’t. It’s not EW’s fault that some people have such little control they much watch the clip. Go ahead and share your opinions but come on…it’s tempting enough to get you to watch it- overkill or not.

Wow, you know it’s bad when even the fans tell you to lay off coverage of something.
Here are my ideas:
1. If you don’t want to watch the clips, don’t watch them.
2. If differing opinions on Twilight offend your delicate sensibilities, don’t read them and don’t dignify them with a response. It’s not that hard.

It’s as simple as that, if you don’t like spoilers then I’ve got news for you. THIS IS A BOOK!!! If you’ve read the book then you know what is going to happen it’s not like they are going to change THAT much.
Most of the clips are the same as the trailers, I think we have only seen about 30 minutes and that is probably an exaggeration. Besides it isn’t going to lose it’s appeal because we are seeing the clips in different orders, it is going to feel so much more powerful when we see it all together on the big screen.
Now stop complaining!
Well Hey yall I thought id share wat i think of these clips everyone has differnt opinions its cool they show it to us makes u all want to see it more but yea it can give away half of the movie . Being a huge fan i love the clips but i rather wait for the movie and thats why i stop watching them altogether so yea but thats all i think
