'Murphy Brown' cast reunites

Why are we having flashback week on morning shows? First, Ally McBeal’s cast reunited on GMA, then Murphy Brown’s cast got togeths on The Early Show.

Whelp, now I feel like I’m a day older than God.

For two shows I rarely think about, Ally and Murphy both occupy places of total fondness in my heart. What ’90s cast do you want to see reunited next, PopWatchers?

They all look fantastic! Talk about aging gracefully!

Well, I can’t say I think about “Murphy Brown” a lot, but I did love it and I bought the first season on DVD. I don’t think they’ve released the others, have they?

Heather Locklear as Murphy Brown? It just goes to show how brain-dead producers are.

Would Friends count? If not then Mad About You or Picket Fences

Definitely Picket Fences. How about Sisters, Doogie Howser, Northern Exposure, My So Called Life, Felicity, Frasier, Twin Peaks, and Oz?

Just another thought…isn’t it crazy how much things have really changed in the last 20 years? Murphy Brown was sort of like a late-’80s version of Mary Richards, which just goes to show you a how society was still adjusting to “women in the workplace”, in some ways. And then the whole single mother thing…craziness. It reminds me of when “Will & Grace” came out (no pun intended), and it was such a big deal to have a show focused on gay characters. Now that wouldn’t seem like a big deal at all.

    Why? Sweeps, that’s why.

“Murphy Brown” was an amazing show. Now if only they’d release more than the first season on DVD…
