Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, rejoice! Charisma Carpenter will be appearing in the season 2 premiere (airing Nov. 7) of the syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker, exec-produced by Sam Raimi.
In this snap from the premiere, a kiss between rival warriors Triana (Carpenter, left) and Cara (Tabrett Bethell, right) is actually a war tactic. “It’s about domination,” says Carpenter. “She’s putting me in my place.”
What say you, Buffy fans? Will you be tuning in?

I’ve had a huge girl crush on her since Buffy and Angel, so it’s great to see her on the small screen again.
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Carpenter ruined Angel (was okay as a seldom used character in early Buffy). I love Legend of the Seeker, why did they have to bring her on. The cast as it stands was great and had its own charm. Hopefully the Confessor will get rid of her in a blood rage!!!!!!
I must agree with Kaci. Although I was not particularly a fan of her work on Buffy, Charisma Carpenter definitely improved in character depth and acting while on Angel (look no further than “That Vision Thing” to see how her character changed from the one-dimensional cheerleader she once was). I even liked her as the villain in the larger character arc for Season 4. She did a fine job considering her circumstances of what was going on behind the scenes. I think Carpenter is a treat and can’t wait her to be part of LotS.
Sorry, you couldn’t be more wrong. Charisma is fantastic and was the heart of Angel.
Sorry, you couldn’t be more wrong. Charisma is fantastic and Cordelia was the heart of Angel.
Agree. When the show started to feature more Connor and Cordy, the show started to tank
LoTS is a fantastic show. I had no idea Charisma was going to be on there, but that should be fun. Can’t wait for the new season to start!
Woo! I love Charisma and all her work! =D
Legend of the Seeker is awful. Very cheesy and very unfaithful to what was originally a great book series. Charisma Carpenter deserves better.
Thank god the show is completely unfaithful to the source material. Instead of rape-rape-rape-rape, we get fun Hercules/Xena-inspired campy adventure. That’s trading up by any definition.
I agree I think its fun for the show to go in a different direction. And I do think the author has problems with Women. (In the books he really puts them through the ringer…)
You could not have shown the book series on TV… at least not faithfully. Goodkind seems to have a fetish for torture, and as the book series goes on, it gets worse and worse. While this series isn’t what one would call “faithful”, at least it’s not as disgusting as the torture scenes in the books (which I started skipping after I realized that Goodkind’s tactic was to make us hate the bad guys by making US want to puke.)
I love Legend of the Seeker and am looking forward to seeing Ms. Carpenter in it. She’s always a treat no matter who she plays and I hope the writers give her lots of snarky sarcastic lines because she delivers them so darned well.
Its on Sci-Fi right? I forgot, I was recording the first series, and when I finished I forgot the channel. Omg I cannot wait. =] I LOVE this show!!!! Kahlan is just pure awesomeness.
Reruns are on sci-Fi channel but the new ones are on saturdays on the CW network.
I’m sooo excited. I watch anything and everything that features a Buffy alum. And I already love Legend of the Seeker, so this will be double the fun!
I watched LoTS for Craig Parker. Since they killed him off, meh.
Craig Parker is stil on the show. He is an agent of the Keeper.
Actually, the new ones are on ABC on Saturday
One of the most pathetic shows on television.
LoTS rules man. The most pathetic show is the Office – its simply not funny
Everything you stated couldn’t be more wrong.
Completely agree, Yogurt.
It’s a syndicated show, so where and when it airs is different for everyone….
LOTS! So excited (but i really should not be). Def my guilty pleasure.
Love Lots, can’t wait for the premiere.
I’m just happy the show is back for another season!
This is great news for Charisma fans, and the consolation is that she is only in the first episode if you are a non-CC fan. So, we all win. Can’t wait for November 7.
