We reported yesterday on the global attempt to break a record for mass dancing which involved people around the world simultaneously performing the routine from Michael Jackson’s video for “Thriller.” There’s no official word yet as to whether the attempt was successful. But there are a number of videos from different parts of the globe documenting the so-called “Thrill the World” dancers (see below).
Were you one of those who shook a zombified leg yesterday in tribute to the King of Pop last night (or whatever part of the day it happened to be in your part of the world)? Or were you a witness to any of the events? Drop us a line!

Both me and my husband took part in the thrill the world in Darlington England.
Had a great time. Can’t wait to see if we broke the record.
Looking forward to thrill the world 2010!!
Bring on zombie time!!!
Hi, how did you find out about the Thrill The World, I am in L.A. and there was nothing heard, not even on MJ.com…?
xo – tink
I found out at Examiner.com
I read about it by looking up Six Flags to see how much ticket prices were for Howloween night. It was on their home page.
I don’t think a lot of people knew cause the videos do not show a lot of people in them.
Forever will love and miss MJ.
I am sure they will have a lot of them the anniverasry of his death next year.
My 7 year old daughter and I danced at 6:30pm at West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada. It was amazing to be a part of it. Not to mention raising money for charity and dressing up like zombies sounds like a pretty sweet way to spend a saturday.
98 Zombies danced in the cold at Canada Olympic park in Calgary http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cEPeyLSryg
Two friends and I danced in Los Angeles at 5:30pm. It was a great day! We’d been practicing since 11am.
My daughter and I participated in the event in Knoxville, tn we had 85 people there to dance. It was so much fun. We had a blast. I really hope more people come next year.
Was there in Knoxville too! I was the 85th dancer :p. The stats are showing 84 though haha…I wonder if I wasn’t counted. It was really fun though.
We danced in Baltimore, MD and enjoyed every moment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JFN0elv2Do

I took part in the Sydney, Australia thrill the world.
It was pouring rain and reported on the news of flash floods and when performing thriller the rain was at its height.
Our performance took place outside and we were saturated but soldiered on.
It was great fun and loved dancing in the rain.
MJ you rock my world each and every day
Hey! i was in the syndey thrill the world as well! i think the rain came at just the right time, cause then the actual performance was so much more real and freaky! anyway, CAN’T WAIT ’til next year. Is anyone staring to get ready for it?
I think the influence of MJ is not even understood yet!!
YIU ARE SO RIGHT PEOPLE STILL DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT MICHEAL JACKSON DID IN THE FEILD OF MUSIC.FROMHIS VOICE TO HIS DANCE MOVES HE WAS A MASTER AT WHAT HE DID.IT IS WITH ASSURITY I CAN SAY THAT THERE WONT EVER BE SOMEONE LIKE HIM IN THE COMING FITURE.R.I.P MJ WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.
He gave more than just music and dance, SO much more. He gave a lot of money, and a lot of LOVE. I think it’s important that Michael Jackson is remembered not just for his talents, but the joy he gave to everyone that came in contact with him. Even those who didn’t know him personally, like me.

Yes Elbs, we were performing under torrential rain conditions. But the show must go on, and we looked amazing. The terrible weather made the whole experience better.
