Michael Jackson dance record attempt: Did you 'Thrill the World'?

Filed under: News and tagged: , ,

We reported yesterday on the global attempt to break a record for mass dancing which involved people around the world simultaneously performing the routine from Michael Jackson’s video for “Thriller.” There’s no official word yet as to whether the attempt was successful. But there are a number of videos from different parts of the globe documenting the so-called “Thrill the World” dancers (see below).

Were you one of those who shook a zombified leg yesterday in tribute to the King of Pop last night (or whatever part of the day it happened to be in your part of the world)? Or were you a witness to any of the events? Drop us a line!

I read about it by looking up Six Flags to see how much ticket prices were for Howloween night. It was on their home page.
I don’t think a lot of people knew cause the videos do not show a lot of people in them.
Forever will love and miss MJ.
I am sure they will have a lot of them the anniverasry of his death next year.

My 7 year old daughter and I danced at 6:30pm at West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada. It was amazing to be a part of it. Not to mention raising money for charity and dressing up like zombies sounds like a pretty sweet way to spend a saturday.

I took part in the Sydney, Australia thrill the world.

It was pouring rain and reported on the news of flash floods and when performing thriller the rain was at its height.

Our performance took place outside and we were saturated but soldiered on.

It was great fun and loved dancing in the rain.

He gave more than just music and dance, SO much more. He gave a lot of money, and a lot of LOVE. I think it’s important that Michael Jackson is remembered not just for his talents, but the joy he gave to everyone that came in contact with him. Even those who didn’t know him personally, like me.

Yes Elbs, we were performing under torrential rain conditions. But the show must go on, and we looked amazing. The terrible weather made the whole experience better.
