So glad to see Betty is back but the show is starting to lose the “ugly” which was what started the purpose of the show. Look forward to furtue episodes!
I noticed the eyebrows from the get go – but with the company being all about looks and fashion – I was disappointed that it wasn’t pointed out – unless the shaving comment from Amanda was the comment. Nothing is more irritating when a character radically changes their looks – and nothing is said on the show. Agree about the braces – can’t wait for those ago. As an adult – mine lasted 1 year tops. Retainers – another story – they can be worn forever – which could be very funny if she hooks up with Daniel at the end. Loved the butterfly analogy. One step at a time. Once the braces are off – she will need to lose the wig – get a hair makeover – not just grow bangs – it looks more like a wig than ever. But – if she completely revamps – it can’t be called Ugly Betty – America is beautiful. Also like the Marc and Justin comradeship. Hope this show goes another season.
I liked that line about the mosquito–”No, I’m NOT happy right now, unlike that mosquito!”

LOVED THE SHOW! It really is a return to Season 1, isn’t it? I wonder if more people watched it on Friday. It’s still a hit, isnt it?
Apparently it was only viewed by 5 million people unlike the pilot which was something like 11 million. I don’t know how it works with DVRs, but I hope they can factor that in because a lot of people aren’t home on Friday nights, but still DVR stuff…
Matt is totes hotter this season. So cute. Totes wanna see more of Kristen Johnson. She’s brilliant.

i totally think matt and betty should get back together. he looks way hotter this season and although he’s being a total bitch, it’s perfectly understandable! he’s been hurt and right now he’s feeling insecure and he’s not sure if he can trust betty. obviously he wouldnt want to throw himself into something if he’s gonna end up getting hurt again.
i love him and betty together. he’s so sweet and he cares about her. u can see that, u know, at the part where betty has trouble with the coffee machine and he hands her a tissue? when her back is turned, he gives her this look and it’s filled with so much sadness and longing, yet hurt.
i hope they sort it out. although, i must say i can totally see betty and daniel together!
That was exactly the part I was going to bring up, Lynn! That is the kind of moment you need to take away (as well as how he clearly WAS affected by her kissing him out of the blue) not all the pettiness and jerky comments throughout the episode. I’m for Matt all the way!
I mentioned to my sister, if this keeps up they’ll have to rename the show just “Betty” and I approve! BTW, if you look quickly, Matt resembles Josh Groban, yummy!
