That episode wasn’t the best; but I can’t believe it’s getting bashed this much. Jim and Pam were truly missed.
Yeah, I knew it would be a letdown from last week, but it was a long way down. By the time they were eating lunch at the restaurant, I was only half watching and half online. That rarely happens with “The Office.” I did like the phone conversations with Jim, even if implausible. The muckduck instead of murder line was my favorite. But after the first ten minutes, I tuned out like Toby.
I loved tihs episode – Creed’s “small things — peas, ball bearings, dimes”; Michael at the restaurant “a side salad, if its on the top i’ll send it back”. I haven’t laughed out loud at this show so much in a long time.
Margaret: too much overthinking about this episode. It was hilarious. The mafia/insurance guy thing with whats-his-name (actor) was really funny. We don’t need “Jim and Pam” for this show to be funny. Ryan telling Michael to write a book, then go to next scene with Michael recording his first chapter, was outrageously funny. This show continues to be spot-on in being funny and coming up with brilliant new ideas. It has completely broken from the BBC series (also 5-star), to continue doing its own thing and succeeding with great humor.
Mistaking the insurance agent for a member of the mafia was an incredibly weak plot for the episode. I realize it is ultimately just a tv show, but I expect better from The Office.
Holy crap she mentioned my twitter name. That’s. Fricken. Awesome!
Michael is the worst part of this show. He’s just Homer Simpson stupid at this point. The mafia? Really? A very tired and stale episode.
I couldn’t agree more… I just realized recently that I like this show in spite of Michael (and it’s not Steve’s fault). More of everyone else please!
Left me wondering where Kevin went before to fart… “Community” much better this week as many opined. Abed and Senor Chang rule! Woowoowoowoo!!!!
I laughed out loud several times. Jim shouting “And then you’ll be saved!!!” to Michael during their phone conversation was hilarious> And Oscar as the only normal guy left was a great contrast to all of the crazieness.
i really enjoyed reading this blog lot’s of valuable info keep up the good work !!!!!
It was a good episode, not the best, but I had my weekly dose of Office, and that’s enough.
