in my dream world mrs. palladino would continue gilmore girls were she left off(even though sixth season was a little less savory)in ink and paper form. i would probably read those books for years.
As disappointed as I was by ASP and DP leaving Gilmore Girls after Season 6—And although much of Season 7 was hard to swallow–I still maintain that the writing ASP and DP did for Gilmore Girls was pure comedic genius. Now if only she would share the ending she was planning…

I wouldn’t say the news of Lauren Graham getting the part on Parenthood is “good news” since its because another amazing actress (Maura Tierney) is currently suffering from breast cancer.
Portia di Rossi, Cynthia Watros, and Sarah Chalke. And their mother can be played by Ellen Burstyn. The brother?…how about Scott Grimes? I’m just throwing names out there people
im kinda mad about this sitcom bc it is going to replace the one sarah michelle gellar was staring in.
I’d love to give Parker Posey another chance with AS-P. But the Jezebel show was AWFUL. Nothing could save it.
That said, I’d love to see a more indie bent to the cast. Like Zooey Deschanel, Ellen Page and Caroline Dhavernas – all of whom can deadpan a sarcastic line with the best of them.
If they want someone more “tv friendly” perhaps Kristen Bell, Kristin Chenoweth,and Christina Appelgate.
I’d like to second Caroline Dhavernas. She’s a terrific comedic actress (Wonderfalls!) but she can handle the drama too. That was what was so great about Lauren Graham – she shone as both a comedic and dramatic actress. As much as I love her though, I wouldn’t want her in this because I don’t want it to be Gilmore Girls 2.0. I think Zooey Deschanel, Kristen Bell, and Caroline Dhavernas would make a great trio of sisters while I think someone like Candice Bergen would make a great mother lioness. Another possibility if they were to skew older for the sisters is Rachel Griffith, Rosemarie Dewitt, and Caroline Dhavernas.

I’d cast Carly Pope, Lizzy Caplan and Kat Dennings as sibs and Candice Bergen as the mom. For the bro I’d go with Jason Dohring, he’s my favorite ne’er-do-well.
