At that pivotal moment when Dave and Kevin placed their hands on those doorknobs, I found myself a conflicted mess. Read the full post.

It’s strategy, strategy, strategy in the finale. If you don’t win the challenge, you don’t get to choose first, and it’s guaranteed that you will get the worst chefs. Kevin’s major blunder was creating a menu that was too difficult for his weakest team member. He did the right thing by putting Van in charge, since he was his strongest chef. But goofed when he chose Amanda. She wasn’t the last chef standing, he CHOSE her. I believe he would have got stuck with her eventually, but I wonder what the outcome would have been if he chose Suzanne instead.
It was fairly obvious that Dave was going to win when a) they started televising his arm problems that ended up being fairly inconsequential to his work on the line and b) when they consistently showed Kevin’s attitude toward his competition.
I called Dave as the winner back when he first broke his wrist and refused to quit. As long as it didn’t effect his service, it would be a huge advantage over the others. Regardless of any other differences, it made the better TV show to have the guy with the guy in severe pain overcoming adversary to win over the cocky perfect one.
But I don’t appreciate getting smeared with Dave propaganda the last three episodes in a blatant attempt to force me to root for him. Let the winner be the most deserving, not the one with the best story. Dave just happened to be deserving and a better TV ending.
While television has the advantage of everything, still to be able to withstand the torment. You have seen him talking to himself right? with all due respect.
I was happy with the result; Dave deserved this more IMHO. I thought he was most consistent all season! He showed great potential.
Kevin was definitely lagging with Ariel at the pass and showed bad judgement on his menus and his brigade selection. He seems like a sourpuss to me… lol. Talented, but in this case second place.
I didn’t miss that annoying blowhard Tennille at all! Granted, I agree that Robert’s antics are “tired” (lol) but I’d take him over her, Andy (ugh) or any of the other eliminated contestants any day.
I could have not said better!!!!
IF FEELS GREAT TO HAVE THE PERSON THAT YOU HAVE PULLED FOR TO WIN…GO DAVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cool
I wept for joy
I wept for joy.
My guess is that Tennile refused to be part of the finale. She felt she was superior to everyone in the kitchen, and I am sure she was deeply offended to be sent packing.
That said, I think Dave won ONLY b/c he was hurt and worked through the pain. I admire him for it but, I think had he been healthy and he and Kevin went head to head, Kevin would have won. He had far more maturity, experience and sophistication than Dave.
Don’t the winners each season get like $250,000 for a salary?
THANK GOD TENILLE WASN’T THERE TO GIVE A RUNNING YELLING COMMENTARY
Im gonna get a Big mac now..rest of you can argue amonst yourselves
I jus love the heart of Dave!!!! He can become everything he wants!!!!
