Gag reels have an enduring appeal: Actors are presented with such flawless perfection on-screen, it’s reassuring to see that they’re fallible. And when those actors are playing the crew of the Starship Enterprise? Awesomeness ensues:
I’m not sure what I like more: The freeze-frame faces in the intro, or director J.J. Abrams’ wicked microphone drum skills. Which gag reel would you like to see? (Me, I’d love to track down Hunt for Red October‘s: “Some things in here don’t react well to bulls—!”)

I loved the Scottish accents for the final scene and Bana’s very exaggerated “Omigod”. But the whole gag reel was hilarious
The impromptu dancing was hilarious. It was nice to see this incredible ensemble in a different light. Very funny!
I think the most hilarious thing is that even the gag real has LENS FLARE.
Trek bloopers are always fun to watch. The characters are so damn serious and earnest most of the time, and the shows strive so hard to create a believable futuristic world, that it’s fun (and kind of weird) to see everyone suddenly break out of that and act like a bunch of little kids.
Classic.
Damnit, Jim, this DVD needs to come out sooner!
Aaaaand just like that, Paramount has removed it.
Awesome. And agreed the scene played with the accents was hysterical!
