Your best Pop Culture Halloween Costume: Upload your pics to EW's Facebook page

pop-culture-Halloween-costumes_lLast year, some spirited PopWatchers — among them: The Simpsons, Office Space cadets, Cheetara, and the Golden Snitch — sent in their best Halloween glamour shots to make up our 31 Cool Costumes photo gallery. Let’s do it again this year, only BETTER and more Facebook-y. To achieve eternal fame, upload photos of your pop culture-related Halloween costumes to Entertainment Weekly’s Facebook page. Just click “add photo” on our wall and your image will appear in the Just Fans section. Whatever you add, it is sure to be cooler than the pic I just uploaded of me eating pizza, seemingly alone, in 2006’s pitiful “Tangled Up In Blue” costume. EW.com: Setting the bar low, one obscure Bob Dylan song Halloween costume at a time.

So stop by the EW Facebook lounge, take  a look around, upload some costume photos, and while you’re there, be sure to “become a fan” of Entertainment Weekly. You’ll be rewarded with the EW extras we’re cooking up for our growing Facebook page, like upcoming bonus video footage, contests, games…not to mention that we’d just really appreciate it. That’s it! We’ll see you on the Halloween wun-way.

Dang, I don’t know where I’d have the pictures, but five years ago, I was Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction, syringe and all.

Don’t forget the little guys. Halloween can be really scarey when you’re just beginning your trick-or-treating career. You can tell just how anxious they are by the questions they ask — over and over again — about expectations for Halloween night. Ethic Soup blog has a great post on trick-or-treating. It answers questions for the kids and is a funny read for parents. It’s a short piece you can read aloud with your kids. There’s even a plea for “candy for Daddy:”

Last year, I was Mr. Orange from Reservoir Dogs (suit, sunglasses, stomach wound). Everyone just thought I was a dead Blues Brother. But before that: Sally from Nightmare Before Xmas and Martha Stewart + ankle bracelet. This year: Heathers!

Last year I was Carmen San Diego from “Where in the World is Carmen San Diego.”? Needless to say I had a ton of people coming up to me, shouting “I found you Carmen San Diego!” But that’s not my best costume by far. When I was six I went as Princess Leia (in the white outfit from A New Hope and when I was three I went with my brother as Captain Hook and Tinkerbell, inspired by the movie “Hook.” But my personal favorite would have to be was when I was nine and I went as Charlie Chaplin with bowler hat, toothbrush mousetache, cane, and all.
