Hot on the heels of the news that Sarah Palin’s upcoming memoir is already an online bestseller more than a month before its Nov. 17 release, Tina Fey dropped a buzz-worthy tidbit in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “I feel like I’ve probably not worn that wig for the last time,” she said, referring to her Emmy-winning Palin impersonation. “At some point, it will come out of the closet.”
Tina, it would be cruel to tease us.
If Palin’s book is going to put her back in the public eye, it’s practically Fey’s civic duty to spoof her again. (And hey, it’s not like Palin minded, right?) Still, we’re sure there are a few spoilsports out there who would say that Fey should just leave her alone—which is why we’re opening up the question to you. Do you think Fey should bring back her Palin impersonation? Or should she leave the lady alone? Vote in the poll below!

Tina Fey appears to be just as “obsessed” with Palin as everyone else is. Like her or hate her, people obviously cannot get enough of Sarah Palin.
Oh, please, Susan. I think most people have had more than enough of her. But if she’s going to be out there spouting her meaningless platitudes and engaging in public delusions of grandeur, we need someone to take the edge of with a good mocking. Enter Fey.
“Meaningless platitudes” and “delusions of grandeur” – are you sure you didn’t mean to say you were talking about Obama?? Check it out everyone – almost all the insults hurled at Palin for the past year REALLY apply to Obama – eerie…
Seconded, Brian.
I’ll add a third to Brian’s comment, and nominate Lisa K’s comment for “most ridiculous statement of the week (at least).”
Meaningless platitudes (hope and change)
I just don’t understand why so many people think Obama is “brilliant” and Palin is a “moron” – neither is true!!
You don’t understand because you’re obviously a moron just like her. People are fascinated by her in the same way that people are fascinated by a horrific accident. We just can’t believe the level of idiocy we’re seeing from someone who came very close to being the VP.
Who else is going to let Palin know that people are laughing AT her not with her.
I dont know if Palin could tell the difference.
I said “no”, because I sincerely hope she will disappear and there will be no reason for Tina Fey to do the impersonation again! I suspect Palin is going to keep trying to stay in the spotlight, though, so if that’s the case, go Tina go!
YAY! I much prefer Tina Fey as Sarah Palin to the REAL Sarah Palin.
I prefer my entertainment sans Tina Fey!
It was funny at first, but as Palin grew less interesting (i.e. less spoof-worthy), so did the impersonation. Unless Palin does something that cries out to be parodied, then Fey should drop it. Otherwise, her Palin could turn into yet another overused SNL character.
Tina Fey has no other option than tokeep ridiculing Sarah
Palin. With the liberal’s lock on TV entertainment, especially comedyit’s her duty as a bleeding heart liberal to mock conservatives at every chance to do so. Unless she has any ability to seriously argue true facts that Palin has done great things for the people of Alaska then all Fey has is comedy cutup with the likes of Bill Maher. We mock what we don’t understand.
How exactly did last week’s SNL Barack Obama opening “mock conservatives”? Or do you just never watch SNL and continue to talk out your a** by making comments like “Palin has done great things for the people of Alaska.” Hmmm… Seems like all she did was quit halfway through her term to write this memoir.
Ask any Alaskan getting their dramatically reduced dividend check this year how much Palin did for the state.
Yeah, she did great things for Alaska. Like quitting being governor.
No, thanks!
Fey must be too desperate to bring up her ratings on her unfunny sitcom to be dragging this out again.
Someone doesn’t get the jokes on 30 Rock! It’s okay: I’m pretty sure you can find Two and a Half Men on DVD somewhere.
You’re just too easily entertained by the mediocrity network television airs.
Nothing says mediocrity like the show that has won Best Comedy at the Emmy’s two years running.
You can take your arrogance and shove it.
The Emmy’s. That’s a joke in itself right there, pal. You’re just naive is all.
Thanks for pointing out the pointlessness (if that’s a word) of the Emmys!
You can see that they are not a true selling-point given 30 Rock’s dismal ratings!
Just some people are too easily jaded by these “awards”. Didn’t they invent that “award” Fey got for her impression last year?
Please! You had to have 2 blogs dedictate to this non-news?
You just placed this one up a couple of hours ago!

yeah, it’s a liberal conspiracy to be funny and creative. WTF?!
SNL needs a jolt this season. If they can’t get Justin and Beyonce, then Tina will be great.
Fey is obviously only doing this to either boost her sagging ratings or to promote her new movie.
Can’t she do anything original anymore?
She didn’t do the Palin impression on 30 Rock… it’s SNL that needs the ratings boost, not her award-winning and hilarious show. But I’ll bet since you’re so hard at work writing and acting in your own network television show, winning emmys, and being funny as hell, you probably haven’t had the chance to catch hers.
I think it is sad that Tina Fey is going back to the well on this one. Tina has talent, the spoof was funny when Palin was the V.P. candidate, but now it is just wearing out an outdated routine in a vain attempt to capture the public eye. Sure, Palin has her supporters, that’s why her not yet released book is #1 on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, but she is not a pop culture icon that needs this level of attention.
The point, though, is that when this book hits, whether we like it or not, she will be absolutely everywhere there is a camera. So, while I try to ignore the onslaught, Tina’s occasional riff on it will do just fine.
“BORING!”
Fey needs to come up with a new schtick.
That just put a mental picture of Homer with the remote in my head!
I also have to agree that this is definitely old hat.
Where’s my Twilight and Jon & Kate fix?
I have wanted for the past year for Fey to write her Palin impersonation into 30 Rock, and potentially have Jack be in a relationship with her. It might lead to some very funny conversations about how they look alike.
