Steve Carell's daughter sells lemonade to paparazzi

Steve-Carell_lNow, here’s a real “when life gives you lemons” story. Some paparazzi were camped near Steve Carell’s L.A. home, hoping to catch the Office star…walking out his door looking like a pretty normal dude? Being wildly un-scandalous? I guess even paparazzi get stuck with boring assignments sometimes. But I digress. The point of this tale: Carell’s daughter Annie, 8, decided to profit off the situation by selling ‘em lemonade. Aww.

On the one hand, I applaud young Ms. Carell’s entrepreneurial spirit. Her dad told the San Francisco Chronicle that she made an impressive $36, though most of that appears to have come from generous tipper Billy Ray Cyrus. On the other hand, doesn’t she realize she’s only encouraging those obnoxious photogs? Once they decide to stalk you, they’re hard enough to get rid of even if you don’t offer them refreshing beverages!

Anyway, if you were one of Steve Carell’s neighbors, would you be willing to put up with constant paparazzi presence in exchange for reasonably-priced, conveniently-located lemonade? It’s a tough question, I know, so feel free to take a minute weighing pros and cons before answering.

I think that’s a great way to put a positive spin on it, but only $36?? The paparazzi are cheap…

to be fair they were not paid much.(at least i think so)

I’ll bet she peed in the lemonade and then sold it to them! I’d call that Paparazzi Pop!!

Carrell told this story on Leno last week. According to him, the paparazzi were actually following Billy Ray Cyrus. Cyrus, who was walking his dog, stopped to buy lemonade and paid $20 for one cup. Then the paps purchased some, followed by the cops who were called to chase away the paps. It was really funny the way Carrell told it.

Not at all surprising that a random newspaper would screw the story all up.

    Why is this news?
Are the writers at EW that desperate for news and possible articles that they regurgitate other peoples ‘human interest’ stories (and don’t bother to check the facts, either).
    Sigh.

Frykat…. what planet do you live on??? Are you that daft that you’re confused as to why ENTERTAINMANT WEEKLY would write about a human interest story relating to Cyrus and Carell, under a popular culture article? Jesus dude, this ain’t CNN.

Or are you one of those people that think their neck of the woods is immune to popular culture? Not sure what planet that is, let me know when you get back.

He mentioned this on whichever late night show he was on (I remember the incident but I forget which show. Maybe Fallon?)… anyway, he said the paparazzi were following Billy Ray, not him.

Billy Ray tipped like $25, then, apparently, all the paparazzi that was following Billy Ray stopped for lemonade and then apparently police were called to chase away the paparazzi and all the police officers then stopped for lemonade.

This isn’t news. It’s the PopWatch blog. Anything goes here, my friend…

The better question is, why would you NOT be willing to put up with constant paparazzi presence in exchange for reasonably-priced, conveniently-located lemonade (as long as it’s not too sweet)?

I say, those people will always be thirsty on those hot California stakeouts, without a water fountain in sight. At $3.00 a glass that little girl can make some serious bank!

Location, location, location! Where are there thirsty people with money? If it’s in front of your house, go for it! Sounds like a budding young entrepreneur!

I hope that Annie Carell participates in Lemonade Day when it comes to LA next May. Maybe she will even be spokesperson for the event.

Steve’s daughter is on her way to becoming a very successful buisneswomen. She will be glad that we are expanding our Lemonade Day program into the Los Angeles area and maybe next year have a bigger and better Lemonade Day buisness. Full details of our Lemonade Day program @ LemonadeDay.org

With regard to Touchstone, is it true that it will not come with an additional charging cord? ,
