The hypnotic, sublimely strange Yo Gabba Gabba! kicks off a run of new episodes Monday, Oct. 12 with guest stars The Roots, and the following episode finds SNL’s Andy Samberg playing around with DJ Lance Rock. Yep, that sounds about right.
YGG is also going on a tour dubbed “Yo Gabba Gabba! Live: There’s a Party In My City!”, so find a preschooler who likes having his or her mind blown and enjoy. And remember, guys, don’t eat bread you dropped on the ground. Also remember this show is technically for children and not for people who enjoy recreational drug use.
I like Samberg a whole lot, but I don’t think anyone can top Biz Markie in the Gabba verse. Can they, PopWatchers?

My preschoolers have forced me to watch this show, which makes Teletubbies look like Citizen Kane. I’ve never understood how they pull in big stars. My guess is the insufferable host is somebody with a ton of connections to A-listers.
No, they pull in big stars because this show has a certain charm to it. It’s absolutely hilarious if you can watch it for what it is and not take yourself too seriously.
I can understand the appeal to kids, but that clip was horrifying…
YES!!! My daughter loves this show, so I have to watch it, like 10 times a day (maybe an exaggeration). I like some of the guests, and will be happy to see some new people. It’ll be nice to have a different really annoying song stuck in my for days! Is that weird?
oops, in my HEAD for days!
It’s not that an SNL actor is guest starring on YGG, it’s that an escapee from YGG has been starring on SNL all these years. Welcome home, Andy.
