Just when I thought lipdubbing’s moment had come and gone, 172 communications students at the University of Quebec at Montreal put together this video to the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” and it is charming:
Oh, college…
Do you have a favorite lipdub video, PopWatchers?

As someone who has been to UQAM and lived in Montreal, let me say how indicative this video is of the awesome vibe of the people in Montreal. Can you say energetic and vivacious? Awesome video!
smell really bad and possibly have white-girl dreadlocks.
I can watch this one over and over. It’s Flagpole Sitta by Harvery Danger

That is an amazingly impressive tracking shot. Brian De Palma would be jealous!
Fabulous and fun!
Remember when college kids used to actually make an impact on world politics? Sigh. But hey, that is an impressive single-take.
exactly did that happen, grandpa? Way to romanticise an imaginary past. College kids in N America have always sucked.
my question exactly.
god, i miss montréal!
Way to go UQAM!! This is one of the reasons why I am STILL in Montreal!! Awesome.
Montreal is played out. Stick a fork in it, it’s done. Calisse.
that you’re a sad little loser who would never survive outside the hickiest ‘big city’ in N America. Full of arrogant people with absolutely NOTHING to back themselves up with. Tourists love the low drinking age, plentiful sex trade, casinos, and sleazy nightclubs. So much to be proud of. Oh yeah, and the ‘arts’. Riight. Compared to the rest of Canada, maybe. But the rest of the world? very small and stale potatoes.
That was awesome! I couldn’t stop grinning… proof that youth isn’t necessarily wasted on the young.
this is the first time i’ve enjoyed this video. lol
i mean song. it’s usually so annoying.
UQAM Represents!
Awesome video!!! You Guys Rock!
I just moved away from Montreal and this awesome video made me terribly homesick. *sniff*
Anyone who has ever been to Montreal knows its the most fantastic city in North America! This video does not surprise me! GOOOO Montréal!!!
I’ve been about 5 times… the people are rude, it’s cold most of the year, and there are more homeless panhandlers than in any other city I’ve ever visited. Great nightclubs though.
crispy, you’re such an endless ray of sunshine.
I would respond, but that would only reinforce my stereotype as a rude Montrealer… besides, I’ve gotta go panhandle in the Metro.
(Perhaps 6th time will be the charm for your visit to this lovely city…)
Yes, yes, yes…No, unless you’re a slimy guido.
Douchebag.
is a)a slumming poseur hippie who gets stoned at the tam tams and probably larps, espousing radical politics while secretly shopping at lululemon, b) is a sad yupster who thinks she’s sophisticated for getting small plates of kd in old town restos c) falls down drunk wearing tacky cheap polyester dresses in midwinter on crescent st or st laurent d)is a sad poseur hipster in mile end eaten up by the insecurity that outside of frozen little wannabe town you’re just a sad canadian hick. Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Dov Charney and Vice don’t make you hot crap in a champagne glass, just cold diarrhaea in a Dixie cup.
Fabulous – one take. Woot.
fabulous!!
This is awesome.
That’s cool, but I could only watch a minute of it since I can’t stand the song at all.
in realted news: freshmen applications to Montreal just went up 30%
Still one of the most offensively bland songs in recent history. I don’t think I’ll even understand the appeal.
I’m totally sick of that song, but I actually watched the video all the way through because it was just so darn cute!
Awesome video!
Omg. Seriously? The best part about this is how it shows the universality of pop music. The vast majority of those kids wouldn’t speak English as their first language, and yet they’re grooving and bopping along, and translating at the end. Sweeeeeeet!
That video is good, but this lip-dubbing video of Miley Cyrus’ Party in the USA is H-I-LARIOUS! These guys are freakin funny, and its a little hot, admit it.
that Canada is the Dorkiest Place on Earth.
