There were a few times where I smiled but I definitely did not laugh. Britta is annoying and boring. Abed is the only funny one to me and I’m disappointed in how their using Chevy Chase. Joel McHale is also not working for me. One more episode then I’m done. This show is not very funny at all.
LOVED the montage
I’m loving Danny Pudi and I hope this self-aware, unfunny show is cancelled quickly so that he can meander his way over to join the boys on “Big Bang Theory.”
You’re being way too hard on the pilot. I thought it was exceptionally funny and that this week’s episode had more than a couple of shoot-milk-out-my-nose moments.
It had its moments, just like last week’s ep. I loved their presentation (and the failing grade that followed), and I love Senor Chang. Everything else was kind of “meh.” We’ll see.
I’m loving the show – I thought ep 2 was really, really funny, especially the montage of the presentation. And the rap at the end left me giddy. Love it!
Three reasons (in just this episode) why Community is worth sticking with and better than most of the comedies currently on television:
1) Senor Chang’s speech – How often does a series spawn a catchphrase by episode 2?
2) Spanish story montage – Funniest thing Chevy Chase has done in decades. Made especially brilliant by pairing the scene to Aimee Mann.
3) Spanish rap – Perfection
The show has its rough patches, but we’re talking about episode 2 here. Some shows take entire seasons to hit their stride. There was more than enough gold in the first two episodes to merit giving Community time to work out the growing pains.
what happened to The Office recap???? Why do we have a TV watch for the dumbest show of all time(Grey’s)and not The Office? So pissed EW…..
I like the show but I hate that Abed character. Why does he act like that? I wish they made him less cliche robotic and stupid and just had him be a regular guy.
