Let’s hope it’s not in HD. Girlfriend already looks embalmed. Wonder if she’ll be able to put down the gin and pills long enough to learn her lines.

This show is already a mess. Amanda was supposed to be there from episode 1 and be killed instead of Sydney, but Heather refused to do it then. They got Sydney back and they used Amanda’s death being faked by Michael on Sydney. They brought Sydney back to life, that’s how desperate they were. But, seriously, what were they thinking, you can’t kill amanda woodward and leave us with these terible actors who’s place is in daytime TV rather primetime. UGH!

Heather Locklear managed to save the original Melrose because that was 3 years after Dynasty ended, so people wanted to see her again as they loved Sammy Jo from Dynasty.
Who wants to see a 50 year-old woman who haven’t been working in a decade. Not CW demographics.

Amanda was always a one dimensional, mean bitch, where Sydney was the better, more colorful, FUN character… The writers should work on a twist in which Sydney is really ALIVE, and have her turn the tables on Amanda, so that Syd ends up on top for once (instead of face down in a pool.)

People should STOP basing their expectations on Melrose Place based on the catastrophe that was 90210′s first season, they made a mistake because they hired two STRAIGHT guys who had no interest in the original show anyway as showrunners, and then they had to fire them and replace them with a girl, who they should’ve hired all along, Melrose Place has already done good by actually interweaving the old cast with the new in logical ways, which was unlike 90210, and the fact that it’s showrunners are two gay men who were fans of the original, well, at least you know they have a genuine passion for the show and where it’s headed.

Not saying that a straight guy couldn’t do the same, but you know, straight men don’t have the same interests as young teenage girls (the CW demo), but anybody in LA sure as hell knows that gay men in this town sure as hell have a lot in common with the likes and viewpoints of young women.

i love the new melrose place- but the show is apparently targeting a “teenage” audience. my only question to that is- WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????

I’d be embarressed to say that I watch the same show as someone who loves gossip girl or the beautiful life.

    ugh

Are people’s attentions spans so short they only give Melrose one shot during the pilot? The show has improved like most shows do after the pilot. I look forward to the older cast members returning.

Loved the original and really diggin’ the new update. It’s got plenty of juicy plot threads to keep my interest as a viewer. Not even the original was that compelling in the very beginning. KUDOS to the CW for spicing up the new Melrose from the get go! And Amanda’s returning should only kick up the heat a few more notches!

Love the new MP as I did the old.
I’m just hoping once Heather comes back and gets this show going. She leaves to go start up DYNASTY:the new generation.. now that’s a show i would love to have hit the airways!

I love the new Melrose and I hope the CW gives it the time it needs to grow as a show. It’s fun to see the old cast- absolutely love Mancini- Thomas Calabro has not changed a bit- and Amanda will most certainly add the spark the show needs to get to a second season. What I find disappointing is that, like other have mentioned here, is that the show is being carried by the old guard. I think Ashley Simpson-Wentz is terrific as Violet, but the show’s creator’s should give the other characters more teeth to make the show a must-see on Tuedays.

Hey what happened to the beuatiful life show? I kinda liked it…

Heather Locklear is the BEST thing that could happen to Melrose Place. It has a bunch of small time actors who with time can be made into household names as happend on the first M.P. Heather has clout and will pull viewers in and will SAVE the show. As far as the comments on how she looks, remember this she is 50 and I think she looks GREAT, how many 50 year olds can look as good as she does, some of you in your 20′s dont look half as good. She is a STAR and I for one will tune in every week now. You GO HEATHER, Glad to see YOU back on t.v. Knock it out of the park girl.
