The Los Angeles Times has posted 41 new photos from the set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon on photographer David Strick’s “Hollywood Backlot.” He shot the cast last April as they filmed in Capilano Park Forest outside Vancouver until the wee hours of the morning. He scored multiple photos of shirtless Taylor Lautner (Jacob), whose abs are making the kind of breakthrough performance Brad Pitt’s did in Thelma & Louise. (I think Lautner, however, might be more of a young Patrick Swayze, soft-spoken and hard-bodied with a love of martial arts. Am I wrong?)
We also get plenty of pics of Robert Pattinson, most of which just show how well they’ve managed to control his hair in the sequel and how beautiful his golden contacts are. There are, however, some nice shots of a Bella dream sequence being filmed in the forest — complete with Pattinson straddling Kristen Stewart in bed, which is more G-rated than it sounds. (Bonus, boys: There’s a shot of Stewart straddling her camera double Mikayla Henderson.)
By the way, you know you’re a fan of True Blood when you see the shot of Stewart bundled up in a gray bathrobe trying to stay warm and your first thought is, Huh, that looks like the robes at that vampire-friendly hotel in Dallas.

I think Summit is paying them to pimp Twilight in general. Don’t worry, they pimp Rob enough. I remember last summer, every time the guy peed, ate, changed his shirt or left his house they had a blog post about it. I think the last straw was that pathetic Cannes post that had “Pattinson” in the headline but wasn’t actually about him. I noticed a serious drop-off in coverage after that stunt, so maybe people complained about it.

ACTUALLY, New Moon is not a Bella Jacob MOVIE.
Its way more complex than that.
Its about Bella’s ache and pain at being separated from her true love, its about finding comfort in her wolf friend, yet it still not being enough.
its about Bella doing WHATEVER it takes to hear edward.
So, all in all…
I think its BELLAS movie.
But of course- the franchise relies on HOT men.

Technically Carrie, all the movies/ books really do revolve around Bella so I’m totally in agreement there. Wow, the Rob fans are out in force. No need to hate on Taylor Lautner…I’m pretty sure Stephenie Meyer wrote New Moon without much of Edward, not Summit or EW.
Stephanie Meyer made it so that Edward was on Bella’s mind constanly in New Moon (which is why she had the hallucinations). Even the title of the book is about Edward.
Obviously Jacob should be promoted, but the lack of Edward in promotion makes no sense.
I’m on the fence with this. I am of the mindset that New Moon is focused on the Jacob and Bella relationship. I get it, let’s promote the hale out of Taylor. However, the big draw here is Rob. It always has been. And everyone knows that Edward and Bella end up together. There is no mystery here Summit. Just showing us Taylor all the time is not going to change that fact. I would like a little Rob here and there. But there has been a serious drought here lately.

New Moon is really about Edward and Bella. Jacob is Bella’s friend and she loves him, but the love she cannot live without is Edward. She walks away from Jacob to be with Edward.
