More American Idol

Kara DioGuardi: Should we give her a clean slate to start her second season of 'American Idol'? (Probably not, but...)

The sound of Kara DioGuardi’s speaking voice and the sound of my soul howling in agony created constant cacophony in my living room during American Read the full post.

    Four judges is too many.

I liked Kara since the start… I was already tired of Randy-for-me-for-you and Paula nonsense. Even Simon was becoming a pain in the a**… What Kara brought to AI was real critics reviews for the contestants. Who can disagree when she said that Megan sounded horrible singing bob marley and she should sing Adele’s songs? And when she criticized Lil Rounds for not know who she was as an artist… Another thing that I liked about Kara was the fact that she never picked a favorite like Paula & Simon did… She was the only one who gave good reviews to Alison and Matt. Even for Kris, she was more receptive for him than the others judges.
I didn’t know who she was before Idol, but I looked up and learned how talented and competent she is. People need to stop being so obnoxious about her…

I mostly agree with you [J Girl]. I don’t think I’m really irritated from the original judges, but ppl keep saying “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” I’m thinking that something obviously broke because the ratings have been going down before Kara arrived.

I feel that the show only needs 3 judges as I would rather hear more singing from the actual contestants. I will miss Paula and do not feel Kara or Ellen will make up for her. Also I do not believe a Ellen is a good choice. I do prefer the judges to have a music background. I am not interested in how funny Idol becomes, just that awesome talent like Adam and Allison is introduced to us and Idol has done that, without Kara and Ellen and with Paula, who I will miss very much.

You know, maybe three judges is better for American Idol because, imho, the talent is way better than that of any country’s version. If Canadian Idol came back with three judges and more time for singing but with the talent the same standards throughout its rum, I don’t know if I could bear more performances. :\

I still think that more judges can help when it comes to selecting the talent, so there should be at least four judges during the auditions and hollywood rounds. I’ve said this before; when the live shows come on the judges should rotate and the absent judge should be the mentor. However, I don’t know how that would work with Ellen on the panel…

Kara is so annoying that I just cant watch the show anymore. She is the worst.

I have to agree, Kara is very annoying, and now with Simon leaving and possibly Howard Stern taking his place, I know that I will not watch it anymore. I missed the passed two shows because I cant take Kara. Not interested in it at all since Paula left. She was great and always entertaining.
