One of the funniest episodes in a long time. So many good lines, I kept having to stop the DVR. Always a good sign.

I liked when Creed was saying about his scuba and it’s all he lives for so no one better tell anyone about his asthma. haha. It’s funny how Michael got some of the gossip correct. I loved Andy being confused about if he’s gay or not. HAHAHA. How do you not know??? Wow.

lol, Andy is quickly becoming my favorite character on the show. I loved how quickly he went from being giddy with Kevin about tea, to totally hostile when Kevin accused him of being gay… i also loved his little conversation with Jim…”onthe record, i like women, but off the record im not sure”

“Michael’s MO” is why I can’t stand to watch the show anymore. How much of such a selfish, self-centered, insensitive, needy jerk are we expected to take?

I loved that this episode walked the line between hilarious and uncomfortable, as I think many of the classic eps do. Andy’s discomfort and anxiety and panic at times were both funny and painful — how does he not know if he’s gay at this point in his life? And I totally get Michael’s urge to spread gossip — I used to see the same thing in middle schoolers. He adored being in the know, and then was mortified that something was true…
Looking forward to another great season!

maybe he was getting desperate – but really – the best rumor Michael could come up for Creed was he had asthma?? I mean of all the people in the office, Michael could have made up some really fanastic story about Creed and everybody would have believed it!

Ed Helms has always been a superstar in my book.

The only thing that bugged me a little was the intern comment: wasn’t Ryan the intern before he went to corporate?

    • Jen

No, he was a temp, like from a temp agency.

I love this episode of The Office. Not one of my all-time faves, but a great episode nonetheless. Like someone else pointed out, the episode walked the line between hilarious and uncomfortable to great effect.
My favorite part was Kevin upset about the rumor that there is someone inside him working him with controls! I nearly fell off the couch! That was absolutely classic, and such a fitting rumor for someone like Kevin (a part of me wants to believe it’s true lol). It just worked so well.
My other favorite part was Meredith pressing up against one of the interns. Meredith always makes me laugh. I think I need to go watch the “Casual Friday” episode from last season again.
I’m just so happy The Office is back!

I enjoyed it a lot–though I didn’t think it was a great “season premiere” necessarily. I was hoping for something a little more… maybe revealing some kind of character arc to come. We already knew about the baby storyline, so that wasn’t really a surprise. But still–I laughed my butt off and was so glad to have a new episode. I often find I have set my expectations so high from week to week that I laugh and laugh and yet sometimes find it oddly lacking in some way I can’t put my finger on. Then I get the DVD set a year later and enjoy it so much more with multiple viewings, and when I can watch a bunch in a row. So regardless of what happens week to week and how I may feel in my crankier moments, I’m a die-hard fan and will be forever in love with this show.

“Shenaniganed”? “Confessionalized”? Really? There’s witty, Joss Whedon-esque liberties with the English language, and then there’s this.

  • lls

i don’t know if anyone has said this, but did anyone else think that one intern was the spitting image of matt damon? my brother was freaking out about jason bourne being on the office. who was that kid?

    • monica

that’s one of the twins from “Desperate Housewives.”

  • monica

    “Don’t vaccinate!!”

those forum are like that I am looking for, I know where to gain that paid product project list?
