He’ll always be Ike Roscoe from “Switching Channels” to me. :)

Besides seeing him originally on Laugh In, one of my favorite Henry Gibson memories (which I don’t see mentioned above) is his sketch in Kentucky Fried Movie, promoting the United Appeal for the Dead. Small part, but very funny and memorable.

Wilbur – oh how you will be missed.

You and Charlotte are now in that big farm in the sky.

    Sweet dreams!

Debbie Reynolds voiced Charlotte, and she is still alive!

I loved Henry Gibson – Truly one of the greats. I hope he knew how beloved and appreciated he was by so many of us. S’long Mr. Gibson….Thanks for all the great characters and laughs….You will be sincerely missed, and never forgotten.

Loved Henry, but I think the best he ever did, was also possibly the best casting call of all time. Henry and Teller as Hale Buchman and Hale Buchman, Jr. in the HBO movie “Long Gone” starring William Petersen. Funny movie. Made back in 1987. Might have to watch that again soon! “Hell Hale” LOL

Henry Gibson was one of the nicest people I have ever driven. Mr. Gibson’s son, Jim Gibson, found ABC NYC LIMO on the internet and we had the pleasure of driving him during some work for an off Broadway show. Mr Gibson told me stories of the days of Laugh-in, and how he got into the business. He even told me how many times he appeared on The Tonight show, and his various career highlights. Mr. Gibson was such a beautiful person that one time, on the phone when I had to pick him up, MR.GIBSON was visiting a friend in Europe who had just been elevated to cardinal at the Vatican. And he talked to me on the phone for a long time. Me, Russell Figaredo, and I was just his driver!!! I will never forget this dear man and I am a better man for meeting him. All our hearts at ABC NYC SERVICES go out to his family.

I was an extra on an episode of the Series “Boston Legal’ he trully was a very sweet Man, who took his time to talk to anyone who wanted to strike up a conversation, he really made up for some of the actors who were not so nice on that show, …not mentioning any names…Kirk and Dan Feilding!

he was also very good at playing Lephurchan in an episode of “Bewitched” back in the day!
