Betty White’s banner year continues. First the 87-year-old Golden Girl won raves for playing the naughty grandma in The Proposal (the strip club scene was very fun, but our favorite bit was her dance in the woods). And now the Screen Actors Guild is giving White its top honor, a Lifetime Achievement Award, at a Jan. 23 ceremony. SAG president Alan Rosenberg said: “Whether creating some of television’s most indelible characters, plunging into film roles with joyous gusto or perfecting the art of the quip as a television panelist and host, Betty White has entertained audiences with her impeccable comic timing and remarkable wit for more than 60 years.”
In honor of that impeccable comic timing, we’d like to use this news as an excuse to offer one of our favorite Golden Girls moments. I’ll say it thrice — just try to get this jingle out of your head!

A well-deserved honor to a great actress!
Love, love Betty White! Definitely well-deserved.
TGG is still the best show ever.
She is beyond adorable!
Thank You.
May All Beings Be Happy.
I love Betty. As an actress and a person (wit and animal rights).
I love the Golden Girls!!!!
OMG I’m going to be singing this song all day.
One of my favourite clips.
She deserves it!
It just goes to show what an amazing actress/comedian she is to still be relevant after all these years when so many “celebrities” come and go in 1/4 of her time. I still love everything she does and watch the Golden Girls when I get home from work!
Love you Betty!
Betty White is a gem; a comedy genius. Loved her as Sue Ellen and even more as Rose. She so deserves this award.
Actually, it was Sue Ann not Sue Ellen
!
Oh, she’s just spectacular. She makes anything she’s in so much better just by being there. She definitely deserves this.
She is so amazing, talented, and such an inspiration. Love her and all the “Goldies!”
An “about time” honor for Betty. I love her guest appearances on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
let’s not forget her supporting turn in Bringing Down Da House. She and Joan Plowright made that film.
She deserves it!
