This movie is the most faithful rendition of the Dickens text ever. A few weird moments, but it’s outstanding. And creepy and not sentimental. Dickens himself would have loved this, and Zemekis clearly pays homage to Alastair Sim, as he should. Jim Carrey has never been a better actor than he is here. His voice is transformed and unrecognizable. I loved it.
