White Collar made my day today by announcing that Natalie Morales — one of our lovely geek hotties — has been bumped up to full-fledged cast member. Holla! I was nuts about Morales on the little seen but wildly excellent The Middleman, so I’m glad that she’ll be back in action, especially because, drumroll: White Collar has my new favorite cast.
Exhibit A: Tim DeKay Is there nothing I don’t love about Tim DeKay? (Maybe Tell Me You Love Me…. but even that he was good in, it was just a weird show.) I loved him on Everwood. I super loved him on Carnivale, which again, kind of a weird show, but he was so convincingly old-timey and gruff. The New Adventures of Old Christine, The 4400, Scrubs — stop stalking me, Tim DeKay! Just kidding, please stalk me.
Exhibit B: Matthew Bomer, aka Bryce from Chuck. My, my. Sure, Traveler was just okay, but Chuck-associated bonus points will push anyone into the win column.
The plot for White Collar isn’t quite as exciting as the cast: Bromer plays a con artist who helps FBI agents Morales (rookie) and DeKay (veteran) bust, yes, white-collar criminals. And yet I am all over this like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
PopWatchers, is White Collar‘s cast enough to get you to tune in?

White Collar is gonna be a rip off of Leverage which is a rip off of Oceans, but they had me at Tim DeKay, he is awesome!
OK, I was going to watch for Matthew Bomer (and, sure, the premise) but I didn’t realize that Natalie Morales was in it. I’m definitely in, now. I’ve also seen Mark Sheppard listed in the credits on IMDb. Can they get Matt Keeslar, too?
You had me at Tim and Matthew! I never saw The Middleman, so I’m not familiar with Natalie.
USA is doing a great job promoting this show, but does anyone know when in October it’s to premiere?

I’ve been huge Tim DeKay fan ever since “Carnivale.” Great to see him on another TV show, and I really hope this one takes off.
I loved “tell me you love me” and simply adored “carnivale”
I was ready to watch this when I heard that Matthew Bomer was going to be the star. I loved him as Bryce on Chuck! And Tim DeKay is a nice bonus. He was great as the reverend on Everwood. When does this start? Everywhere on the web only has a vague October start date.
This show sounds awesome. I don’t think it will be anything like leverage since they don’t work with the cops. I think it will be closer to the end of catch me if you can when they use Leo’s character to catch other forgers b/c he was the best! It should be awesome!
You failed to mention Tiffani (Amber) Thiessen of Save by the Bell glory. I would watch anything with Matthew Bomer.
This show is a 21st Century version of “It Takes A Thief” with Bomer in the Robert Wagner role and DeKay in the Malachi Thorne role. If it lasts and they ever need someone to play Bomer’s father maybe they could get Wagner to play it as a tip of the hat to the show’s inspiration.
I know! Right? This cast is glorious. I was totally signed up when I heard the premise, that is was on USA and that it starred Matthew Bomer. And now it added the glorious Natlie Morales!! This just keeps getting better.

I’m happy for Natalie Morales’ career, but still in mourning that The Middleman is gone from us. Dang, that was a funny show.
Natalie Morales alone is enough to get me to tune in. I loved her in Middleman (tears, tears! canceled too soon!), and I can’t wait to see her fighting crime again.
I had to do way too much work here! 1) I totally didn’t know who Tim DeKay was so I had to look him up on IMDB.com for a pic. 2) I know I am a TV geek and all, but I totally couldn’t recall what network, premise, time, etc “White Collar” was. But Morales was awesome on The Middleman so I took the time to figure it out.
You had me at Matthew, but as someone mentioned earlier, it does look like “It Takes a Thief” which I love. And it’s USA Network, so heck yeah I’m in.
