If I remember correctly, Paul Reubens arrest had nothing to do with child pornography. Wasn’t he arrested for indecent exposure after he was caught with his pants down during a police raid at an adult movie theater showing an X-rated flick in Sarasota, Florida?
I’m rooting for Jay’s show to fail. Maybe it’s because I can’t stand Keith Olberman and Rachel Madow, although even I don’t see the logic there. It just seems foolish to invest so much of your primetime in an aging comedian who really hasn’t been that funny in 25 years. If it weren’t for a world filled with really stupid people to keep Jay Walking going, there would barely be a chuckle per episode of Leno’s Tonight Show. I doubt Jay has found any new talent to make him a success in prime time.
Letterman and Leno both suck gallstones.
Let’s admit it, one and all- THE FORMAT IS DEAD!
These shows were only relevant in a pre-internet world, and before irreverent humor was mainstream.
Just end it, once and for all.
Not to split hairs, but I believe Pee Wee herman was arrested for indecent exposure in an adult theatre. That’s skeevy, alright, but it’s not “child pornography.” I think EW needs to print a retraction.
No one. I’ve loved Conan on The Tonight Show and am finding Fallon has improved a bit. Leno has a tired act. I don’t think he’s mainstream at all- his routine is all about making fun of people on the street. He’s also an atrocious interviewer. NBC made a huge mistake dropping their ten o’clock dramas for Leno.

If Jay could have just a 5 minute segment a night with Robin Williams….that would get everyone tuning in…just to see Robin.
