'Big Brother 11': Jeff is served up piping hot, with only a dash of bitter

Categories: Big Brother

Was it the way he cuddled up next to Jordan? Or how he joked about her popping a boob? Or when he teased a drunken Lydia by quipping, “Take it easy, Mrs. Roper, you look real classy”? No matter how or when it started, my astute colleague Ken Tucker was right when he said Jeff Schroeder — the 31-year-old advertising salesman from Norridge, Ill. — gave us nonstop pleasure in the Big Brother house this summer. Here, Schroeder reflects on his decision to forgo an early alliance with Jessie, his faux-fight with Russell, and the momentary panic he felt when he first saw the phrase “coup d’etat” written on a card.

Can someone in Hollywood please get him in the movies or get him on another tv show because I’m already going through Jeff withdrawals!! And I don’t think I’m the only one!!

    • Lorraine

OMG! Love this guy sooooo much! He has to go on to bigger things for sure. I will miss him too

      • Sina
      • a

me too!!! i will die without Jeff!!!

      • Ran

Sina, I enjoyed that youtube video. Thanks for posting.

P.S. Wow you really don’t like Jeff do you?:(

      • KnowItAll

If we are allowed to pose a question to Julie, please ask: There those who believe that the Big Brother producers favor certain houseguests. Examples include Kevin’s statement that the diary room producers pressured him to keep Michele in the game (similar to Jeff and Jordan’s statement that the diary room producers tried to convince them to keep Russell in the game), and the fact that Jordan was not expelled despite approaching Russell in a threatening manner. In a 2007 EW interview Alison G admitted that the Big Brother rules can be changed at anytime. In the Netherlands, Australia and UK, there have been several lawsuits alleging that Big Brother is rigged. How do you respond to current allegations that Big Brother 11 is rigged?

    • k bradshaw

      Entourage with jeremy piven!!!!!!!!!

    • spookie-doo

OH YES!!! love love love Jeff! wish he would of stayed in the house, was hoping for a win for him, but life goes on and hope to see him again in the future! not only cause he’s hot, but he’s smart too and totally down to earth! everything a woman wants in a man!

      • Windy

I totally agree with you , would love to see more Jeff…

    • Dianne

OK, this confirms it…..I LOVE JEFF !! He is what we woman, moms & pretty much anyone wish all guys were like.

      • Toni

He can water my garden anytime :D

      • gizzmaster

Jeff is a 31 year oldtelemarker who lives in his parents basement.
He is dumb as dirt too.
What a catch. Don’t speak for everyone, ok?

      • anon

        nope, i don’t.

    • Kim from Texas

How about the Bachelor, or Days of our Lives?

      • Erin

YES! Definitely The Bachelor or Days!! I would love love love that!! He would be perfect for either!

      • KC

NOOOO!!! Not the bachelor it ruins any man that goes on. I think he would be good in a comedy series.

      • Jennifer Wynveen

I think he would be great for General Hospital.

      • Judy in Texas

Noooooooooooo! Jeff is way too good for soap operas, come on! LOL

People still watch those things? lol

        He’s gorgeous, plain & simple. :)

    • Jamie

OMG! I would love for him to have his own TV show! I seriously am missing watching him on feeds and seeing what he will say next

    • analiese

i can’t believe jeff and jordan’s cute romance in the big brother house is over for now!!! They were really cute together.

      • DMH

They were disgustingly stupid, one dumber than the other. Neither had any idea how to play the game, were poor losers and even worse when they were winning.

      • anon

dumb and dumber more like it.

    • AcaseofGeo

He’s likable but he got what he deserved. Plus, he “doesn’t go for reading books” (early quote of his) so he can’t be in movies….he wouldn’t know how to read the script.

      • K. Lopez

There are tons of actors that don’t enjoy reading books so I’m sure he can manage a script. Also, I’m talking beyond the game. He may have made some poor game choices but that doesn’t make him a bad guy. I just want more!

    • J. Kennedy

Jeff has been the best and most honorable player to date on Big Brother!

    • Anonymous

Sorry but I cheered went he got duped – go, Kevin, go!

  • Aaron

Likable guy *in the beginning* – everyone seems to conveniently forget how drunk with power he got the last few weeks. He became the new Jessie, really. And I did really like him in the beginning.

He did this to himself. I don’t feel an ounce of pity or sorrow that he’s gone. He got duped by Natalie and Kevin; he did their dirty work by getting rid of Russell (and mind you, I despise Natalie.)

    GO MICHELE!

    • JoAnn

I couldn’t agree more. I loved Jeff in the beginning, voted for America’s favorite player. But when he got that, he changed a lot, he even treated Jordan pretty bad. And the way he acted when Michele won POV, was really bad. Hope you really are a nice guy Jeff, and hope BB house didn’t change you…..GO MICHELE, best player in the house!!!!

      • WTF

Jordan was completely USELESS!!! He tried to get her to START paying attention so that she could help him carry the load. OF course she FAILED and out Jeff went. Now it’s a bunch of LOSERS who get a chance at half a million. And IRONICALLY Jordan will get dragged to the finals so that the winner can turn to her and say “This dumb bitch did NOTHING!!! Are you gonna give HER the money???”

    • Lee

I completely agree with what you said. As soon as Jeff got the power, it went through his head, and he got what he deserved. He wasn’t thinking straight. I’ll never understand why he and Jordan kept Kevin over Lydia????? I mean, yeah–Lydia was annoying, but how much of a threat was she? The girl never won anything and was always the first one out whereas Kevin won a POV and was runner up to quite a few HOH comps. If J/J had gotten rid of Kevin instead of Lydia when Jordan was HOH then Jeff would probably still be in the game. He got what he deserved. No sympathy for him. He was drunk with power.

      • JTR

He was clueless. Even with the HUGE advantage of the wizard power, he couldn’t keep it together. He is a world class manscaper though!

    • Tim

The guy played the game people. Did he really do anything worse than the rest did? Jessie with his mind control, Ronnie with his lying, Russell with his bulliness, etc etc. So Jeff did let the power go to his head, hell YOU would too after the other side had power for so long till America gave that power to Jeff who used it well. So boo hoo that you use to like Jeff but now you don’t. Who the F**k cares. STFU losers. Don’t think Jeff really cares if you like him or not.

      • sosgemini

        passive aggressive much Tim? LOL

      • Mike

Russell? What are you doing out of the jury house?

      • shaun

I think TIM wants to be JEFF,hahahaha…..LOSERRRRR.Or he likes him, has got to be 1 of the 2 if not both!!

      • Wardell

A little harsh, but I completely agree. Jeff, for the most part, was one of the only people in that house to remember that it is a game. He played the game, bottom line. To shaun, who doesn’t want Jeff…he’s totally hot.

    • Tracey

Jeff DID admit to letting the power get to his head. Give him credit for that, at least.

      • Ron

I give him credit for being a two-bit telemarketer and wannabe regional model, not to mention a rageaholic.

  • Corran

The fact that he likes Natalie and has no idea about her age makes me say boo to you Natalie haters. Admit it, she even manipulated and twisted America’s Favorite player, Jeff. Natalie played the best game all year.

    • Ahrean

Natalie is the spawn of Satan, the only thing I’ll admit is that she’s the most deplorable waste of space and her buddy Kevin, another spawn of Satan, is equally awful. Good guy always finishes last.

      • anon

you are also a spawn of satan.

    • Levente

Natalie didn’t play jack. She never put herself in a position where she could actually make game moves. Including this HOH, where all the power lies in the POV holder, not even the HOH. Hahaha. Her HOH is worthless… just like her in this game. Sorry, I will never drink that kool-aid and don’t have any doubts about.

      • Michael

While I admit that I loathe Natalie with every ounce of my being, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that she hasn’t played the game. Playing for HOH and veto is a SMALL part of the game. She ruled Jesse until the day he was ousted and managed to keep the target on him. She basically ran Kevin’s HOH. And, if she makes it to the final 2, she’s golden. She’s lied more than everyone in the house and has gotten away with it. I hope that the skank loses during final 3 week and will be watching solely to see her ousted.

    • wager

Natalie refuses to shower while on her period … did we really need to know anyone is that dirty? The best blogs have nicknamed her pig pen and I love it!

      • anon

bold face lie. michelle also didn’t shower.

    • Manda

She did manipulate alright – she lied, connived, backstabbed – just like you are supposed to do in the game.. except for one thing, she does it about things that don’t have anything to do with the game. She believes her own lies – that’s a sign of a pyschopath. I think she fancies herself to be aliken to Dr. Will, but she is surely lacking in all of the qualities that made him great. She gets off on making people upset. She thrives on being cruel. If she could only keep her lies to the basis of game and not to personally destroy people for her own amusement. Natalie is a cancer, and I can’t see how anyone supports her. It makes me question those that do – do they have eyes and ears and no hearts too?

      • anon

manda, you are the cancer, you are what you say natalie is, but worst.

  • HM

give this man his own show. He’s awesome!

    • Tim

What I want to know? Has anyone seen Jeff’s goodbye messages from BB? I haven’t and wondered why they haven’t shown them?

      • Rachelle

Exactly! It was the only time I remember there NOT being good bye messages. I was so looking forward to Jordan’s!

  • Susan

Better Days are coming Jeff! Your kind heart will get you far. You may have had a few imperfect moments but who hasn’t in times of stress? You more than made up for them. I wish you success and the best life has to offer.

  • Angela24

So far Jeff is the most likable person to ever be in the bb house. He’s a nice guy, made a point of making at least one real friend (Jordan), and was a pleasure to watch. A guy with a sense of humor is very very attractive to me and Jeff is that package. I do hope to see him come out the other side of this experience with chances for other things..even if it’s entertainment reporting, other tv shows, or anything. His comedic timing is great and he can definately throw out some one-liners that will make you spray your drink. I’d really like to see Jeff and Russell on the Amazing Race together. That would be worth watching.

    • frank

      PERFECT! Amazing Race……would be amazing.

    • Jennifer

I agree with you Angela, Jeff and Russell together on The Amazing Race would be an unstoppable combo. Hopefully they will read this when they get out of the jury house and maybe will consider this seriously. Maybe the powers that be at CBS will see this and talk to them about it.

    • WTF

Are you kidding??? Jeff and JORDAN on Amazing Race would be HILARIOUS!!!

      • rick

Amazing Race with JEFF AND JORDAN FROM BB11. GREAT REALITY TV.

      • alex

other than being cute, Jordan lacks a brain, strategy, sense of gameplay, and a competitive spirit. nice person but a waste of space and a better player should’ve been in her place. would not want to see her on TAR. she would just be dragged around.

      • KC

Jeff would be awesome on amazing race but I don’t think Jordan could cut it, unfortunately. Jeff certainly is going to have some opportunities coming his way, his popularity won’t go unnoticed.

      • Rudi

I never want to see or hear that piglet hillbilly Jordan again. She’ll use whatever money she makes to get another tragic boob job while her family teeters on the brink of poverty. She’s just gross. Jeff would never look at her outside the house.

    • Never Know …..

Jeff and Jordan on amazing race would be cool too…. How bout some Jeff on Survivor?

  • Jen

    ahhhh…he’s so dreamy!

    • Sam

Yeah, his homophobic slurs, rage, and treatment of Michele was really dreamy. What a sweetie. Jeff is a meathead douchebag.

  • Levente

*Sigh* I’m in love/lust. And I’m closer to his age than Jordan. And smarter. And have dark hair, which he said he likes. And I’m Hungarian so we have those European roots in common. Wow. We’re perfect together! ;)

  • Lanna

Love You Jeff! You have a fabulous future out there just waiting for you. Your positive attitude and those white- hot good looks will get you to whatever dreams you can dream. Great Job.

    • Gigi

Did you even watch the show?! He is not a nice guy.

  • David

Lynette, great job not bursting out laughing when Jeff said Natalie was 18. *thumbs up*

    • Toni

HAHAHA David I agree! Lynette, bless you for NOT screaming “she’s 24 Jeff…TWENTY FOUR!!!! YOU GOT GOT!” lmaooo

  • Anna

I loved him and Jordan sooooo much.

  • yukoner2

he definetely (sp?) needs his own show… the guy is great…

  • K

would love to see Jeff/Jordan on amazing race! love those two

    • Heather

good idea!!! That would be great to see!

    • Never Know …..

Jordan would be good on The Amazing Race. Granted maps might challenge her, but she is good at keeping him calm, and she is competitive enough to win a HOH and a POV. She could handle those challenges, well they both might struggle with the puzzles….but so would Russel.

      • KC

now I’m thinking she might be good on AR.

  • Andi

What a great interview. He’s awesome. I love his perspective that it IS only a game. I feel for him..they are gonna tear him up in the jury house. I am bummed that he’s gone but loved every minute of watching him this season. BB needs more players like this.

    • Tim

No worries. Jeff will do just fine in the Jury House. Those people don’t intimidate him. They will just laugh and give him a hard time, and then back to probably ignoring him except Russell. Actually I think after a day or two they all will become good friends.

  • cristina

Please bring Jeff back. I won’t watch the show till he’s back on. Add a twist and bring him back!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Liza

Didn’t you all just love Jeff’s accent? I loved it when he would say “its over” to Jordan. He was so cute and adorable. Awwwww.

    • Never Know …..

It would be cool if that is what Pandora’s twist was…that if natalie opens the door she has to take whatever/whoever is behind it and it’s Jeff because he found the key. But I don’t think natalie would open the door….
