ABC’s released a few 30-second teaser promos for the upcoming sixth season of Grey’s Anatomy (which returns Sept. 24 with a two-hour premiere), and oh man, I don’t know if I’m emotionally prepared for all the death and funerals. Or even the cancer recovery, though of course that is a technically happy event. Watch first, then we’ll talk some more:
By now we all know…(but I’ll say SPOILER ALERT just in case)…George is out and Izzie’s in (at least until Katherine Heigl’s upcoming hiatus) — which this trailer seems to pretty much acknowledge. Though what I don’t know is if I can handle two hours of gut-wrenching right out of the gate. It does, on the other hand, look like George will get the send-off he deserves (let’s hope he gets more respect in death than he did while technically “alive” all last season). It also looks like Cristina and Owen will be romping around in sexy underwear — and to that I say, amen. (I would totally watch a show called Just Cristina & Owen’s Anatomy.)

I’m sad to see George go, but glad the actor is getting what he wants, and I’m not much of a Izzy/Heigel fan, so I’ll be glad to see more Christan/Owen and hopefully Lexi, whom I really like.
I think GA has run its course and needs to die….kinda’ like George. I’m over it!
Finally was great, but most of last season sucked, hoping this seasons picks it up. Also the song in the promo is Sink or Swim by Tyrone Wells off the album Remain.

GA’s time has come and gone. It was fun for awhile, but as with all shows, it gets tiresome after a few seasons.
Izzie sucks and George was a character to develop. Typical bass ackwards. They should have had Izzie arrested for murder a long time ago. You know it is what would have happened.
Love GA have and will continue to watch. But will definately be wierd without George (loved his character) enough about Izzy she is emotionally draining sometimes Seriously!! Christina is fun to watch though and hopefully some new characters can add some life back into the show.
I don’t understand why she is a celebrity. I don’t get it at all.
Amen, sister. I, too, would watch a show called “Just Cristina & Owen’s Anatomy.” I’m excited for this season to start, to see how these characters will react to George’s death, and what’s in store for everyone. I think Season 5 really redeemed the show, and I hope they continue to improve. And as for the new characters, I hope that they don’t detract from the current characters’ storylines but rather help progress their development along.
I agree with whoever that shli person is who just posted. If the show tanks, it would be great if Cristina and Owen got their own. I’d definitely watch. In fact, if they got their own show NOW, I’d stop watching GA and watch them instead. They’re the best thing about the show now.
