Chris Brown on 'Larry King' Wednesday: 'I'm like, wow.'

I just watched this preview clip for Chris Brown’s upcoming Wednesday appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live, and it’s like…I’m pretty sure this is not gonna be good for Chris Brown’s public image. He sort of acknowledges “the police reports,” but acts as if said reports happened to be unexpectedly slipped into the pages of his American Way in-flight magazine or something. It’s like…I don’t know what to think. It’s like, crazy to me. I’m like…wow.

    What a pinhead.

I read on CNN that he deosn’t remember hitting her. Yeah, he’s a changed man…

he sucks go away Chris Brown

Chris Brown: “I was like, wow.”
    Rihanna: “I was like, ow!”

(I know I shouldn’t be joking. I’m sure Brown’s lawyers adviced him not to talk about certain things related to that night, but, based on this admittedly short clip, I would like to see a more contrite and less flippant or “who, me?” reaction.)

I think Larry King should smack him and ask him if that rings any bells.

    • Jill

      I like that.

    • Kate

      AWESOME.

Maybe he was in such a blind rage he blacked out. It happens. I just hope he’s sincere about changing his life around. It’s not bad enough what he did but, to hear after his sentencing that it was NOT the first time he hit Rihanna, he shows a pattern of abuse… he needs help, I know he’s seeking it. It’s a sad story. He grew up in a house full of violence and it’s a known fact that in domestic situations it’s a repeated pattern UNLESS you get the proper help to change the cycle which, Chris is just now doing.

      ….or is he?

I heard about people with that blind rage and those people that it happens to need serious help. There is something seriously wrong with them. Dude should be locked up getting mental help or on some strong medication. However, I don’t believe him. I think he’s a narcissist and cold blooded.

Is he? I haven’t heard that he’s gone to counceling or sought out help on his own. His first statement was that he was getting the counceling of his family and church – sorry that is so not enough. He’s just a tool and once again the US media is going to milk it for all it’s worth. I mean really – what’s next? Are they going to make the doctor that killed MJ into a sympathetic character?

  • paige

what a fool… he shouldve done what R. Kelly did and just pee on her… nobody likes a domestic abuser!

  • Matt

King of the douchebags. Dude, according to the court documents, you’ve been violent with her before, so I’m not exactly sure what it is you “pride (yourself) on being.” Scumbag.

  • Mo

There are reports that this incident was not the first. They got into in a hotel lobby a few months earlier. They argued and she smacked him in his face and they began to fight. Uhm…they BOTH have a problem. Insider reports have them both as perpetrators of violence against each other. That in now way excuses what he did to her. It does point to the fact that BOTH people need help as victims and aggressors of violence or this will happen again to each of them with their respective partners.

It’s like ‘WOW’? This kid is certainly gifted with words. Talk about a pathetic individual. You can just imagine that the only reason he is on Larry King is to build up his PR a bit. I like another commentors idea – whack upside the head with a rolled up newspaper. It is never okay to hit a woman – period. His record company should cancel his contract and the American public should turn their backs on this sad excuse for a man. He’s made his money and had his 15 minutes – now go away!

  • Denny

he career is basically over anyway…

  • nicolete

    Once a douche, always a douche…

Hope you enjoyed your career, Chris, you pathetic loser. It’s as good as gone now.

  • Bowtie

The baby blue vest and bowtie are a nice touch. Unfortunately, he should be wearing prison orange for what he did. Too bad. I read that his mother spent a lot of time during the interview with Larry, crying. With answers like the one here, it’s no wonder why.

  • Snarf

“Like, wow.” Dumb and violent. Not doing much to disway negative stereotypes there Chris.

  • Andrea

I read on CNN as well that he claims not to remember hitting Rihanna. Sure Chris, whatever you say. I wish he would just man up and admit to what he did…but I might as well wish to win the lottery, the odds are probably better. Some boys never grow a pair.

He’s not denying he did it when he says he doesn’t remember it. He’s either talking about the depths of his problem – rage blackouts – or sidestepping the inevitable follow-up: “What was going through your mind during the beating?” Which, to be honest, fair enough. We don’t need to hear him describe his fury in vivid detail. I actually bought his recorded Youtube apology. This clip, I think, is terrible. He needs to do a much better job of articulating, “I have a problem and I want to get better and I’m trying to get better.” Like he did in the Youtube apology.
