Where is Lisa’s mother from? Was it an Island?

Has anyone read NeNe’s book yet?? I was surprised that she was so forthcoming about her past (i.e. childhood, upbringing, stripping, abuse, etc.

@alsoataurus…I think Khandi is nice&drama-free, but I, like u, hate the way she talks. It’s as if she doesn’t open her mouth up enuf or something. I don’t know I just don’t like it. I told my husband that I was sure I wasn’t the only 1 who felt that way abt her voice & I found u!

Your recap of the show was on point and hilarious. I’ve been a fan since the show debuted last year and have to say that it’s my favorite installment of the Housewives series and here’s why: They are all hot messes with the exception of Kandi and hot messes make for entertaining t.v.
NeNe: Loved her last season, thought she was the most down to earth and humble. She seem to have a really good heart and you couldn’t help but love her boistrious personality but this season she seems to have gotten very mean and catty and wants the attention focused on her. She has now experienced some sort of fame and now understands what it takes to get camera time and she is doing whatever it takes to get it which comepletely negates the geniuneness we saw in her last season. She really needs to tone it down and realize why we fell in love with her in the first place.
Kim: There aren’t enough words to explain how I feel about her. She is the definition of a hot mess. She goes on and on about class and yet she sleeps with married men so her lifestyle can be financed. I didn’t know that prostitutes were considered classy. She trash talks everyone, has her nose stuck up in the air like she actually earned the right to be pretentious and has not an ounce of drive unless you consider fame and shopping a career.
Lisa: seems as if she has gotten a little nastier this season as well or maybe more willing to throw herself in the mix, still find her likeable though and I can’t fault the girl for having the ambition she has and going after what she wants. True she may be perping in terms of how much money she has but then again they all are to some degree. Ironically of all the women the one with the least ambition and relies on a married man to support her is the one we don’t hear about having her house foreclosed on. Guess Kim must have something on Big Poppa for him to continue to support her although they aren’t together anymore.
Sheree: She seems a bit warmer and a little more open this season which I appreciate however that ego is still out of control. What first time, no name designer do you know has Tiffany diamonds and Maybach’s at the debut of thier fashion line? Not one, hell even the more established fashion houses like Gucci or Chanel don’t have that much going on so what makes her think that she’s special. There is a reason why she has so many problems with event planners and the main one being is her ego.
Kandi: Love her, she has a career of her own, she rises above the petty drama, she keeps it classy and seems like a sweet person. She may be the only ‘sane’ woman on the show.
In regards to NeNe’s comments about Lisa’s racial background, I’m black and found them offensive. She claims to be close with Lisa and yet she acts suprised about Lisa’s heritage? What a joke, Lisa has always been upfront about her asian side, in fact in the first season she said that she doesn’t like being referred to as just black because she felt like that would be denying her Chinese father so how could NeNe not know? Sounds to me like NeNe was just working to come up with a sound bite for t.v.
