'Dollhouse': TV show, or repository for geek-hall-of-fame actors?

glau-whedon_lWith the news today that Summer Glau — of the late Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles — will be joining Dollhouse for a few episodes, and once more going to work for Joss Whedon (who first cast her in an episode of Angel before making her the damaged heart of Firefly), something has become clear: Dollhouse is a nerd-actor oasis.

Glau will be joining Battlestar Galactica veterans Jamie Bamber and Michael Hogan, as well as Buffy/Angel alum Alexis Denisof and Dexter‘s Keith Carradine — all of whom have signed on for the second season of Dollhouse. Which begs a question: Who else should book an appointment in the Dollhouse? I mean, if we’re gonna go this route, and stud the show with all these recognizable sci-fi faces, who would you like to see? (I’ve got my fingers crossed for Buck Rogers’ Erin Gray.)

Sarah Michelle Gellar!!! although that would probably never happen so my second wish is Allison Hannigan!

  • Rebecca

Just to keep the tradition going, my vote goes to James Marsters (Spike from ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’).

  • Anne

I’d love to see some more Whedonverse faces pop up: Anthony Stewart Head, Charisma Carpenter, Nick Brendon, etc. And I think we might as well get the rest of the cast to come on. How amazing would it be to see Mary McDonnel square off with Adele or to get Tricia Helfer or James Callis on. I would be in heaven. Throw in a Veronica Mars cast member (Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni) and Dollhouse will be my favorite show ever. This is all great news!

Good call re: Veronica Mars vets! Wouldn’t Tina Majorino make a good buddy for Topher?

      • Anne

Love it! He needs a friend.

I would love to see anyone from the cast of Chuck make an appearance! I know it’s not a Whedon show, but there are some strong ties between Chuck and the Whedonverse… most notably Adam Baldwin!

I’d also love to see someone else from the cast of The Middleman make an appearce. Matt Keeslar (MM himself) was in “The Target” in S1, but it would be nice to see Natalie Morales or Brit Morgan. Or, speaking of defunct ABCFam shows, how about Kyle XY’s Matt Dallas? He’d make a great doll!

Back to the Whedonverse… What’s Charisma Carpenter doing these days? Or Anthony Head? Or Sean Maher?

    • Ragna

Anthony Head is currently filming season two of Merlin in the UK, actually, and I can’t wait for that myself. But Sean Maher on Dollhouse would be so much love.

  • Melinda65

Sean Maher, since I haven’t seen him in much since FF ended (although I just looked him up and saw that he was in an episode of Drop Dead Diva, so now I must seek out the show.)

  • rosewoodw

I’d love to see Stephanie Romanoff (Lilah) and Emma Caulfield (Anya).

    • Doc

Oh, God yes to both of them!

  • Margaret

Thomas Dekker, Garrett Dillahunt, Sean Maher, Nathan Fillion, Jason Dohring and Kristen Bell.

    Lena Headey

I would like to see a cross over eps with Bone need I say more.

  • Sara

All the Joss alumni. Please. Including NPH. I don’t care how or why, but make it so!

  • tim

I would love to see Emma Caufield (Anya from Buffy) in Dollhouse. She would be great!

  • blu

Laurel Holloman (Justine on Angel), James Marsters, and Nathan Fillion.

  • Merry

Anyone else from the Buffy/Angel world would be welcome. Personally, I’m crossing my fingers for a James Marsters appearance.

  • John

The Guild / Dollhouse crossover. Got to be!

    • Sara

Felicia Day was in the unaired episode, “Epitaph One”, I think.

      • Ragna

Yeah she was, and she rocked it, too.

  • Jeff h

    Charisma Carpenter or Emma Caulfield.
