I already like John Hodgman more than I like Justin Long, but the addition of Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld’s David Puddy and Family Guy’s Joe Swanson, among others) to the PC side in Apple’s latest commercial (embedded below) majorly tips the scale. It’s not like I’m about to buy a PC — as one of Apple’s most loyal customers, I possess the rare ability to see the iPhone 3GI — but I’d definitely rather hang out with the “PC personified” crowd right this second. It’s not just the commercial that has me all hot and bothered — I’ve also spent the better part of an hour listening to Warburton’s oral descriptions of specialty burgers and cheeses at the Cheese & Burger Society’s website. If PCs start coming equipped with Warburton’s lusty food descriptions as their startup tones, Apple could be gone for good.

I’m definitely on whatever team Warburton is on. I guess it helps that I already own a PC but if I had a Mac, I’d give it up for him.
Man I hate those Mac/PC commercials. The worst were the Christmas claymation ones which just had the PC guy acting like a jerk to the mac guy for no reason.
I’d take Hodgman’s gentle bullying over the passive-aggressive “Laptop Hunter” ads any day.
Hooray for Cheese & BUrger. But I have to add, even though John Hodgman and Warburton are on the PC side in the commercial, I still think Apple when I think of them. Regardless of sides it all still falls under the Apple Umbrella.
The Camelot … with toasted brioche. Patrick Warburton is awesome. He was fantastic as Jed on “Less Than Perfect”. I watch “Rules of Engagement” just for him. Wish he were more over the top on that show.
My brother has a Mac and I have a PC and I spend my days cooking up ways to steal his computer without him being able to trace it to me. Don’t think Apple has anything to worry about.
I thing those comercials are sooo fun to be watching them all time when they come on the tv. I have to be in agreement with righter of the article because the PCman is much funner than the appleman. May be because the Pcman is shubby or like full of baby fat like things.

Adding Patrck Warburton is just another reason for me to like PCs even more. What kind of marketing campaign is this where I like the PC people more than the Mac kid?

I love Warburton as my favorite man with a License to Kill – Brock Sampson – but he can’t replace Justin Long in my heart! The only reason I bothered to watch Jeepers Creepers was because of Justin. Oh, and as a graphic designer who spends hours on a computer to make a living – there is no comparison between a PC and Mac – Mac’s rule!!!!!!
