Warner Bros. and Yahoo have just premiered the new teaser for Christopher Nolan’s Inception, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, which is due Summer 2010. Not much is known about the thriller — Variety reports the film is “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” (Okay, sure.) The teaser doesn’t offer many answers about plot, butit does feature some crazy-ass, gravity-defying fighting a la The Matrix, and that’s really all I need. That and Leo.
What do you think of the teaser, Pop Watchers? Are you psyched for Inception?

This seems like something that 14-year-old me would have lapped right up, and I mean that in a great way.
Way too little information to pass any judgment. But, frankly, it’s Christopher Nolan. I know it’s going to be awesome.
I agree with Brandy, very little to go on to really judge this, but Christopher Nolan isn’t one to disappoint. I’m very excited!
Christopher Nolan is enough on his own, but… that cast? In addition to Leo, there’s Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt… among others. Fun.

that was the feeling I got, which is also how I felt when I first saw the Matrix trailer.
ever since i seen mr. christopher’s movie with guy peirece, menmento, i feel like he is great director of really graet movies. he has ability to make unreal be real and seen. he is truly very great talent.
I try to avoid Leo films whenever possible, but… it’s Nolan… and it does look really cool…
I love Nolan but can’t get any sense of story in this trailer to judge it.
That being said, why does every talented filmmaker want to work with Leonardo DiCaprio?? I can’t stand him. I don’t think he’s a bad actor but his face has no range and he still looks like a 12 year old.
What is the big deal with Leonardo DiCaprio? He can’t act. He’s not a natural actor. You can always tell he’s “acting”. He tries to hard.
To Gus: for some reason it also reminded me of Dark City. That was a great, hope this one is just as mind- bending!

Glad I’m not alone re: DiCaprio. I just don’t get his appeal. And given that he’s 35 now, he just doesn’t strike me as a man. Put him up against Clive Owen or Eric Bana or Christian Bale and he doesn’t have their level of gravitas and maturity.
Surprisingly I didn’t like the Matrix, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t a favorite either, BLADE RUNNER, now that’s a F N awesome flick, but matrix was cool too.
With “Shutter Island” moved to February 2010 and “Inception” set to debut later that same year, is 2011 the year that Leonardo DiCaprio wins an Oscar?
The only thing keeping me away from this flick is the DeCaprio.
Nolan always does that. At the end of Summer 2007 I remember he did this for The Dark Knight and it really showed nothing just the bat symbol and Bruce Wayne and Alfred talking and then you heard The Joker come and the bat symbol got destroyed. I am surprised that for Inception we got to see this much of it. Anyway I can’t wait to see this!!! Looks great!!!

i was a little ticked off by the music. seems too textbook “its dramatic and intense” for me. liked most of the footage included. and again, dicaprio doesnt interest me but nolan does. and thats who im going to watch. plus the rest of the cast sounds terrific, go cillian, gordon-levitt and caine. top notch actors right there.
I doubt it would be as good as the Dark Knight but it look like there will be kick-ass special effects and cinematography. I know it would still be awesome because its Chris Nolan! That is all I could really tell from that trailer.

I really DO NOT understand this detest for Leo. Let’s go down the list here: Gilbert Grape, Basketball Diaries, Titanic, Gangs of New York, Aviator, The Departed, Blood Diamond, Revolutionary Road, Shutter Island, and now Inception. Are you kidding me? That’s probably the most impressive resume of any actor working today. In each of those movies he gave a great performance. He’s been nominated for four Academy Awards. How many of you or any other prevalent actor working today can say that? Uh, uh…did I stutter? Yeah he looks young, but he’s only 34. Do you expect him to have a permanent beard to prove his age or something? God, you idiots just can’t get over the fact that he was in Titanic. Anyway, Inception looks amazing. Nolan is the best director working today and Leo is one of the best actors. All you haters need to re-examine your lives and good taste.
leo is one of the best actor working today. the fact that a-list directors continue to get him in their project only proves that he’s doing a great job. if he’s a bad actor then maybe nolan, scorsese and the rest are stupid to get him..
