I have to say, usually when I hear the words “Christian Music” it turns me off, but in this case, I don’t have a problem with it. I think Kris totally won me over with the bromance-with-a-gay-Jewish-man thing; it shows he is totally open-minded and accepting. Rock on, Kris!
Christian music? I always thought that was more of Danny’s thing. Kris is a Christian, but not a Christian artist.

Aw, Kris is adorable. And he really is very funny in a dead-pan way. Your beat of horrified silence when he told you the “name” of his album, Michael, was hilarious. Any hope of you interviewing Adam and Allison sometime soon? Even just by phone if an idolatry ep can’t be managed? You really seem to like those three and respect them, and that seems to make them more comfortable and open with you than I’ve seen them with any other interviewer.
And people who are making rude comments about Kris should stfu. I mean, it’s not limited to him–on every Adam article, there are tons of rude comments from people, but it’s annoying, and everyone should grow up. Seriously, I’m 20, and my friends and I are way more mature than people who anonymously insult Kris and Adam on the internet or who are still upset that Kris won or that Adam’s getting so much attention or something like that.
Michael!!! I’ve seen your name before, but didn’t know who you were until now. But now I heart you for being a personable interviewer! I’m so tired of the lame interviewers out there that ask the same exact questions. It’s so uninspired and cookie-cutter. If Kris or the other AI peeps don’t gouge their eyes, I might! Okay, I won’t…but you know what mean.
I love me some Kris Allen. This interview just made me love him a little more. What a great interview Slezak! I love how honest and grounded he seems in his interviews. I cannot wait for his album to come out.

Agree with Sandra completely. It is so hard for me to concentrate on the interview b/c I am so wrapped up in Kris Allen and his cuteness. He is such a sweet, cool cat…I watched this with a smile planted on my face the entire time. I CANNOT wait for his CD.
BTW, why must we relive the Adam thing everytime Kris is interviewed?
Oh please the guy can not sing American Idol is a SHAM OF A SHOW!!!!!! Adam Lambert should have won that, looking forward to getting one of Adam C.D.’s when and if he has one and comes out SHAM OF A SHOW
Daisey, your bitterness is showing. It’s ok to admit Kris CAN sing and still prefer Adam, y’know. No need to insult Kris’ talent just because you prefer someone else. Need to let it GO, already — the show has been over for 3 motnhs and Adam is doing just fine, thank you very much.
Kris won, but Adam is being treated like the winner. That should make the Adam apostles happy, but it just ups the crazy faux-god worshiping factor.
Daisey: If AI is such a sham of a show, why did you watch it? Isn’t that the show that you saw Adam on? If it wasn’t for AI you would have never heard of Adam. Go away, and take your bitterness elsewhere!
Vada Adam is being treated as the winner because in all sense HE IS!!! Adam can’t help it if he gets all the attention. That just proves Arkansas didn’t get it all with that voting scam. Adam is a world star, so get over it!

Great interview Michael, so glad you get Kris like his fans do. Love Kris and his music and can’t wait for his cd release. Kris is the winner of AI8 and so deserved the win. I’m sick & tired of seeing the stupid comments on almost every article about Kris. Time to let it go, you will feel so much better once you get over it and move on. Go support your favorite and stop wasting your time, Kris is going to be a huge success.
