In the new “Meet Jacob Black” trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Taylor Lautner talks us through the plot of the second film. Edward is kinda douchey (I’m paraphrasing), he leaves Bella for her own good, Jacob is the friend that picks up the pieces, and “as time goes on, the heat starts building.” I’m not feeling the temperature between them rise — yet. Are you? But I am excited to see Jacob parkour his way up to and through Bella’s bedroom window. (Will that always make me think of Dawson’s Creek?).
We also get a quick glimpse of Dakota Fanning as Jane. Perhaps we’ll be treated to a “Meet the Volturi” trailer as soon as Summit thinks of a movie pun for its title…

This does look good. But no, I don’t buy the Jacob-Bella love story. Edward, douchery and all, is the one for her.
i agree with you . there is no romantic chemistry with bella and jacob. even in a 2 min video you can see they are truly meant to be best friends and like family. edward has that spark with bella . i like jacob and edward both but i am team edward all the way . breaking dawn says it all i can not wait for that movie .and other fan comments were about jacob being half naked that has nothing to do with the chemistry between jacob and bella . it just not there . go team edward
I don’t know that kiss between Edward and Bella is extreamly hot … but I also see some heat between her and jacob. I mean how could you not when hes half naked the whole time. But I’m team Edward all the way!
This really does look a lot better than Twilight (which isn’t saying much…I know). I am surprised because after Breaking Dawn, this is my least favorite book in the “saga”. I found Bella to be insufferably pathetic. She made me want to scream. I still will not switch to Team Jacob, but I have to say that I like the character of Jacob a lot more because of Taylor Lautner. He is adorable and seems like he isn’t too bad of an actor either. I was hoping to see the Volturi but at least we got a peek at Jane. My biggest wish for this movie is that they fix the sparkling. Please God fix it.
I found “Eclipse” to be pretty insufferable as well, although I understand that the author felt it was the natural place for the story to go. Hopefully the movie is less pathetic than the book!

Personally, I disagree. I think New Moon’s portrayal of pain was very intimate and visceral…it was an extremely painful book to read, but it really touched me.

How much heat could they show you in a minute and a half, Mandi? Chill out, check the movie…then decide if there’s heat or not. This looks SO MUCH BETTER than Cat Hardwick’s hack-job of a first Twilight film.

Edward is one of the hottest guys in the books/movies. And soo is Jacob. But i mean if u hv read the books u would know jacob is kindof mean. And atleast Edward gives Bella what she wants. Becaz he is that noble- and loves her that much. He only left her becaz he wanted her 2 live a normal life. But obiously she was totally 2 much in love with him 2 let go. So she went cookoo… But yeah.. whatever- TEAM EDWARD!
That little bitty glimps of the kiss between Edward and Bella was really hot. I can’t wait to see that whole scene. Team Edward…all the way!!

this is not summits fault, she knew when nem woom was going to be filming, and she accepted an offer on another movie, even tho she knew it was at the same time, and in EUROPE. stop blaming summit, and stop whining, theres nothing you can do about it anyways. Yeah, i really liked her as victoria, but lets hope the new girl will be even better

Word. my Fav part of the trailer besides his phaze jump and Paul growling at bella.
You don’t need to believe that there’s a romance per se in this movie, you just need to understand there is a strong bond between Bella and Jacob. Yes, they almost kiss but it’s in response to Bella truly believing that Edward is never coming back and that she should just let herself be happy…with Jacob. Then in Eclipse is where we really need to start seeing the heat.
More than that, it’s her feeling that she “owes” Jacob, like she said. She knows that she’ll never be happy, but she thinks she owes happiness to others that care about her.
But, like she clearly said in New Moon (and in Eclipse)…she can’t live without Edward.
One of my favorite quotes from New Moon is
“even if she lived until she was old and gray, every time she closed her eyes, it would have been Romeo’s face she saw behind her lids.”
The only concern I have is NOVEMBER 20 IS SO FAR AWAY!!!! This less than two minute clip looks WAY better than the 120 minutes of Twilight!

I think Taylor is doing a great job both on and off screen but I’m afraid the real chemistry is between Bella and Edward. I am looking forward to New Moon, especially the Volturi scenes. Have to say, though, I am disappointed with the CGI wolf, it looks very cartoon like against the real life footage…I’m sure they could have done better since the wolves are such an important part of the next three books/films.

i love seeing the trailers, but i dont want to see any real big juicy parts of the movie yet! when twilight did its trailers, it pretty much ruined it for me because when i went to the movie theater to see the movie..i felt like i already saw the movie through the commercials!

I’m sad that they couldn’t have made the Twilight movie better (with better CGI and special effects…better director and writer). That movie and the VAMPIRES deserved better everything. VAMPIRES are better and stronger then the wolves (much better looking too….they don’t need stupid muscles to be stronger like that airhead TAYLOR)

this movie looks professionally done, not on the amateur level twilight was done. did you see the purple circles under edwards eyes? hopefully this means this time around they paid attention to details. looks good so far
