we all love you paula….. you make the show i watched last year with kara not the same… you have it all over her please save paula and come back.. we all want you there and i think simon will miss you the most … even if you decide not to come back you have done a great job what a inspiration to all the contestants good luck in your new endeavors… miss you sheila from massachusetts
I’m going to miss Paula as well. She always brought the cheerfulness to the show though she’s not very good with the ‘talking’ sometimes… The new judge Kara on the other hand, I don’t understand why so many people don’t like her. She might not have Paula’s bubbly personality but she’s giving honest and clear opinions on the show which’s what she’s asked to do as a judge! And last season was her first time being a American Idol judge and I think she did her job very well. Overall I think the combination of the 4 judges is ideal. In term of the time issue, it might not have enough time for all 4 of them to speak but it’s nothing wrong to have them taking turns to comment, maybe 3 to give comments each time.
20 million, or 12 million, whatever sounds insane when not in context…seacrest is to get 15 million a year for the next three years. what up? surely a judge, who has to use some industry knowledge etc to spot, develop and guide new talent, should get more than the throw-to guy??
I have watched American Idol for 8 years and will not watch it if Paula is not on it. Kara needs to go. Love Simon & Paula together.

Paula is not coming back to the show, but Kara is?? Sad. Debating whether to watch next season after AT&T’s favoritism towards Kris Allen. Just won’t be the same without Paula – I won’t be watching this season.
yeah, because the judges and production showed no favoritism towards Adam at all… Besides, AT&T already launched their investigation and found nothing. It’s been two months, Adam will be fine. Get the hell over it!
I have been a faithful watcher of idol.If Paula goes, I won’t watch anymore. I tolerated Kara last year because I really enjoyed the show. Kara needs to go.

I never did understand why they hired kara.Her personality is awful.She was not needed and adds nothing to the show.In fact she adds an annoyance factor that was not there before.I think they should fire her and add what they are paying her to paula’s pay.She is such an important part of the shows chemistry,I do not think I will be able to watch the show without her.ai wish they would also remove kara if they are going to take paula off.I will not watch if she is there without paula.
No Paula and Simon banting back and forth!! I am too mad at Idol to watch anymore. It is my protest. I don’t think they can match this past season without Paula.
Has anyone noticed that it is only the White Males on the show that get paid the outrageous dollars? The Simon and Paula Chemistry is what we like on the show. It is part of why we tune in. To see what they will do next. She must come back or I will not watch.
I just can’t get into Kara being on the show even when Paula is there, let alone in PLACE of Paula. Truthfully, all the contestants change each year, so it’s not THEM we really consider what we love about the show. It’s SIMON, PAULA, AND RANDY — PERIOD. Take away Paula, and the show lose 1/3 of it’s icons that makes you want to watch it. I certainly wouldn’t watch it if Paula wasn’t there.
Paula is getting a bad rap! I knew when Kara came in they were trying to oust Paula who is the fresh air of the show and talented beyond belief. I am proud of her for standing up for what is fair. Why shouldn’t she get paid as much as the other judges? Her zainey behavior may be the result of medication from all the injuries she has sustained in her career. I love her zainest and all. I say get rid of Kara and beg Paula to come back. 4 judges are too many anyway.
