Steve Zahn on 'Conan': Quirky or confused?

God bless Steve Zahn. He’s forever the best part of Tom Hanks’ That Thing You Do, and his imbecilic Glenn is one reason Out if Sight is on eof the most rewatchable movies of the last 15 years. Plus, anyone who saw Rescue Dawn knows that he’s more than just a grinning goofball. But then there’s last night’s guest appearance on The Tonight Show, which makes me wonder.

Oooooohhh-kaayyyyy. Hitchhiking in a chicken suit. Talking to his farm animals. Is that just Steve being Steve? Is that the Kentucky bluegrass and bourbon? In the parlance of the interview, I’d say Conan had the patient listening skills of a horse, whereas Heidi Klum was an unamused sheep.

What did you think, PopWatchers? Did you laugh at, or with, Zahn? And was that, quite possibly the worst movie clip to use as promotion of his movie?

Whoops, the comments seemed to vanish when you instituted the format change. Which, BTW, I like so far, other than the fact that when you look at the archives, rather than just the titles, you see the entire article. I liked just seeing the titles because more could fit on a page, and it was easier to find a past article without sifting through pages and pages of content.

What’s the deal with no spaces between words? Weird.

I like that Zahn doesn’t do the typical interview b.s. that most celebrities bring to these shows. And the sheep imitation was pretty funny.

? I don’t get what’s news about this. It was a fun interview.

I don’t understand whats odd about this interview. He seemed like a totally normal, funny guy. I call media hype for the new movie.

  • Dope!

I thought it was the most hilarious interview ever, in a positive way. I rewatched the sheep part many times.

He was just Steve being Steve! Being from Minnesota I laughed and laughed at his comment. That whole chicken suit scenario sums up our state pretty well!
